  • Publication number: 20210393157
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing combined inter-device multi-point bioimpedance measurements are provided. An example system includes a first device and a second device. Each device includes voltage electrodes, current electrode, controller, and connector for electrically coupling the electrodes of each other by a wire. The controller the first device or the second device can receive a configuration. The controller may select, based on the configuration, a first subset of current electrodes from a set including the current electrodes of the first device and the current electrodes of the second device and a second subset of voltage electrodes from a set including the voltage electrodes of the first device and the voltage electrodes of the second device. The controller can provide an electrical current to electrodes of the first subset and measure voltages from the electrodes of the second subset to determine bioimpedance parameters of the human body.

  • Patent number: 11185246
Abstract: Systems and methods for bioimpedance measurement are provided. An example system includes a strap for carrying a smart watch on a wrist of a user, a bioimpedance measurement module, and an acoustic generator embedded into the strap. The bioimpedance measurement module is configured to measure an impedance of a tissue of the user. The acoustic generator is further configured to generate an acoustic signal modulated to carry data including the impedance. The acoustic signal can be sensed by an acoustic sensor of the smart watch. The smart watch may include an application for sensing the acoustic signal and for converting the sensed acoustic signal into a value for the impedance.

  • Patent number: 10912522
Abstract: Systems and methods for counting features in a motion signal are provided. An example method includes detecting a signal indicative of a motion of a human body, determining, by a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor, a period in the signal, determining a location and a value of a feature within the period of the signal, determining that the location and the value of the feature are valid for counting, and in response to the determination that the location and the value of the feature are valid for counting, increasing a counter for the feature. The feature may also include a global maximum of the signal within a positive phase of the period. Criteria for the validation depend on a current type of activity. The method includes automatically determining the current type of activity based on several preceding locations and values of the feature in the signal.

  • Publication number: 20200390334
Abstract: Provided is a tracking device. The tracking device may include an internal sensor, a receiver, and a controller. The receiver may include a first electrical contact and a second electrical contact each configured to receive an electrical signal from an external device. The controller may be configured to analyze a first electrical signal from the internal sensor to determine first data. The controller may be configured to detect a presence of a second electrical signal in the first electrical contact and the second electrical contact and, identify the external device based on a portion of the second electrical signal and analyze, based on the result of the identification, the electrical signal to determine second data. The controller can perform combined analysis of the first data and the second data to determine an additional value of physiological parameters of a user, behavioral parameters of the user, or environmental parameters.

  • Patent number: 10463260
Abstract: Systems and methods for heart disease risk assessment are described herein. An example method may comprise providing a first signal indicative of a heart rate variation (HRV) and respiration of a user, providing a second signal indicative of a HRV, respiration, and motion of the user, continuously determining a state function, wherein the state function depends on the HRV and the respiration, receiving an indication of a change of a body position of the user or a change of external conditions, in response to the indication, determining a shape of distortion of the state function, performing an analysis of the shape of distortion to determine at least one sign of a risk of the heart failure, and providing at least one alert or message regarding the at least one sign of the risk of the heart failure. The state function can include a coherence between the HRV and the respiration.
