  • Publication number: 20140258685
Abstract: A processor may be built with cores that only execute some partial set of the instructions needed to be fully backwards compliant. Thus, in some embodiments power consumption may be reduced by providing partial cores that only execute certain instructions and not other instructions. The instructions not supported may be handled in other, more energy efficient ways, so that, the overall processor, including the partial core, may be fully backwards compliant.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 30, 2011
    Publication date: September 11, 2014
Inventors: Srihari Makineni, Steven R. King, Alexander Redkin, Joshua B. Fryman, Ravishankar Iyer, Pavel S. Smirnov, Dmitry Gusev, Dmitri Pavlov

  • Publication number: 20070236741
Abstract: A three-dimensional halftone screen is provided that is suited for multilevel printing. The three-dimensional halftone screen includes a plurality of planes each corresponding to one or more input intensity levels of an input RIPped pixel. Within the planes are screen dots, each associated with one or more output exposure intensity values representing an intensity of an exposure dot corresponding to the input RIPped pixel.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 31, 2006
    Publication date: October 11, 2007
Inventors: Hwai-Tzuu Tai, Chung-Hui Kuo, Dmitri Gusev

  • Publication number: 20070097461
Abstract: An apparatus and method for calibrating a multi-color imaging system are provided. Color values are measured for each of the different color patches, and compared to target process-sensitive colors color values, representing a weight-adjusted memory color. An error value is calculated. The error value represents a deviation of the measured color values from the target color values. The input values for each colorant then are independently adjusted to reduce the error value to a predetermined degree.

  • Publication number: 20060072128
Abstract: A method of printing comprising the steps of detecting a contour in a first color space image, locating the contour, mapping the image into the second image space, and changing the mapping curve shape, changing the printer profile (e.g. changing the printer mapping function), editing the image, or other method to reduce or eliminate perceived contouring.

  • Publication number: 20050243344
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a multicolor image using halftone screens employs a dot structure dot growth pattern for one or more of the colors and a line structure dot growth pattern for at least two or more of the other colors.

  • Publication number: 20050243340
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing image data representing a color separation or mono-color image includes processing the color separation image data or mono-color image data in accordance with first and second or more halftone screen processings at different screen angles and obtaining results of the processings and combining the results of the processings to generate composite image data of the first and second or more halftone screen processings. The resulting print of the composite image data forms relatively pleasing rosettes or diamond structures in the particular color.
