The method of detecting unauthorized devices installed on electrical interfaces of vehicles comprises measuring the impedances (the reactive and the active resistances) of the electrical interface at the initial moment of time and subsequently. The measurement of the active component of the electrical interface resistance comprises the measurement of the current and voltage of the devices connected to the electrical interface followed by the calculation of the total resistance of all the devices. The measurement of the reactive component of the electrical interface resistance comprises the measurement of the capacitance component of the electrical interface resistance by the impedance spectroscopy method.
