    Abstract: An apparatus for collecting and removing gases emitted by an aluminum reduction cell consists of at least one channel extending between a suction inlet and exhaust outlet. At least one curvilinear partition extends within the channel, so as to divide it into respective gas suction zones. Such zones are formed to change the direction of the gas flow from substantially vertical at the suction inlet to substantially horizontal at the exhaust outlet.
