Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of a multilayer structure, comprising the steps 1. applying a functional layer onto an optionally precoated substrate, 2. curing the coating applied in this manner and 3. applying an adhesive onto the cured coating, wherein the functional layer is applied from a water-based coating composition which comprises A) at least one aqueous polymer latex, selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylate latex, polydiene latex, polydiene copolymer latex, polystyrene latex, nitrile latex and mixtures thereof, and B) at least one amino resin.
