    Abstract: An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display apparatus, including a substrate, at least one thin film transistor (TFT) on the substrate, an insulating layer covering the at least one TFT and having a via hole and a groove, a first electrode on the insulating layer and electrically connected to the at least one TFT through the via hole, a pixel define layer on the first electrode and the groove, the pixel define layer having an opening that exposes the first electrode; an intermediate layer electrically connected to the first electrode through the opening, the intermediate layer including an organic emissive layer, and a second electrode on the intermediate layer. The organic emissive layer may be easily formed in the opening because a step between the organic emissive layer and the pixel define layer may be reduced as a portion of pixel define layer fills the groove.

    Abstract: Provided are a thin film transistor (TFT) panel, a method of fabricating the same, and an organic light emitting display device (OLED) including the same. The TFT panel has a TFT region and a capacitor region. A TFT is formed in the TFT region and a capacitor is formed in the capacitor region. The TFT includes an active layer that includes a source and a drain regions. A gate insulation layer is formed on the active layer, and a gate electrode is formed on the gate insulation layer over the active layer. A source and a drain electrodes are formed over the active layer, and connected to the source and drain regions, respectively. In the TFT region, an interlayer insulation layer is formed between the gate electrode and the source/drain electrodes. In the capacitor region, an interlayer insulation layer is formed between a capacitor lower electrode and a capacitor upper electrode to form a capacitor.

    Abstract: In a display device, the display device includes a substrate, a red color filter layer, a green color filter layer, and a blue color filter layer. The substrate has red, green and blue sub-pixel regions. The red color filter layer is located on the red, green and blue sub-pixel regions, and has a first opening formed in the green sub-pixel region and a second opening formed in the blue sub-pixel region. The green color filter layer is located in the first opening. The blue color filter layer is located in the second opening. Since the red color filter layer is used as an interlayer insulating layer, there is no need to perform a separate process to form a color filter layer and a process for an interlayer insulating layer can be omitted. Thus, it can simplify a process.

    Abstract: A thin film transistor (TFT) array arrangement, an organic light emitting display device that includes the TFT array arrangement and a method of making the TFT array arrangement and the organic light emitting display device. The method seeks to reduce the number of masks used in the making of the TFT array arrangement by employing half-tone masks that are followed by a two step etching process and by forming layers of the capacitor simultaneous with the formation of layers of the source, drain and pixel electrodes. As a result, individual layers of the capacitor are on the same level and are made of the same material as ones of the layers of the source, drain and pixel electrodes. The capacitor has three electrodes spaced apart by two separate dielectric layers to result in an increased capacity capacitor without increasing the size of the capacitor.
