  • Patent number: 6141229
Abstract: A voltage boosting circuit and method thereof are capable of boosting an input voltage to a desired voltage while consuming a relatively small amount of power, in a highly efficient manner, and requiring a small number of circuit elements. A first switch of the voltage boosting circuit transfers the input voltage in response to a first control signal. A first charging/pumping portion charges the input voltage transferred from the first switch in response to a second control signal, adds the charged voltage to a first predetermined voltage in response to a third control signal, and pumps the addition result in response to the third control signal to provide a boosted voltage.

  • Patent number: 6087889
Abstract: A fuse circuit for a semiconductor device allows the device to be adjusted after fabrication by selectively blowing a fuse in response to a fuse control signal. The circuit is fabricated on the semiconductor device and includes a fuse, an enable circuit for blowing the fuse in response to the fuse control signal, and a sensing circuit for sensing the state of the fuse. A comparison signal generator can be coupled to the fuse to generate two comparison signals that are compared by a differential comparator which generates an output signal indicative of the state of the fuse. The comparison signal generator is coupled to the fuse and includes a resistive voltage divider which generates the comparison signals by dividing a power supply voltage signal. If the fuse is blown, the first comparison signal is at a higher voltage level than the second comparison signal, and a comparator in the sensing circuit generates an output signal having a low logic level to indicate that the fuse is blown.

  • Patent number: 6016169
Abstract: A frequency modulation circuit which generates a frequency modulation signal responsive to a video input signal includes a programmable control circuit, an electrical flow control circuit, and an oscillation circuit. The programmable control circuit generates a plurality of electrical flow control signals responsive to an electronic data input. The electrical flow control circuit controls an electrical flow therethrough responsive to the plurality of electrical flow control signals. The oscillation circuits generates the frequency modulation signal responsive to the video input signal and responsive to the electrical flow through the electrical flow control circuit. Related methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5822017
Abstract: A fusing system is provided in connection with an integrated circuit, which may be mounted within a semiconductor integrated circuit package having a plurality of external pins. The fusing system is provided with a fusing control circuit operable in an adjusting mode and in a fusing mode, which receives a serial data signal and uses that signal in one way when in an adjusting mode and in another way when in a fusing mode. A fusing circuit is provided for fusing selected ones of the fusible links when the fusing control circuit is in the fusing mode. The fusing system may be used as part of an automatic gain control system for automatically controlling the signal strength of a video signal output from a video processing circuit.

  • Patent number: 5500688
Abstract: A synchronizing signal clamping circuit for an integrated image signal processing circuit has an input buffer circuit for receiving a composite image signal; a level clamping circuit for clamping a synchronizing signal tip level of the composite image signal, in response to an error detecting signal; an error detecting circuit for detecting the difference between a reference voltage signal and the output synchronizing signal tip level of the composite image signal and for outputting the result as the error detecting signal, in response to a control signal; and a synchronizing signal interval distributor circuit which controls the error detecting circuit so that the error detecting circuit can detect the difference between said reference voltage signal and the synchronizing signal tip level of the composite image signal only for a period shorter than the interval of a synchronizing signal applied to a third input terminal.

  • Patent number: 5208708
Abstract: A copy guard system is provided for protecting software in a video tape recording (VTR) system. The copy guard system includes a positive edge detection circuit for detecting a positive edge of an input VTR head switch pulse signal, a negative edge detection circuit for detecting a negative edge of the input VTR head switch pulse signal, a counter for generating a fixed duration pulse signal in response to the positive edge, a clamp circuit for clamping an input image signal, a gate pulse generating circuit for generating a pulse signal before the end of the fixed duration pulse signal, and a level detector for determining whether a copy guard signal is set in response to an output from the clamp circuit and the pulse signal. A pulse detection generating circuit is coupled to the level detector for transmitting a rectangular waveform to a signal killer pulse generating circuit.
