    Abstract: A winding drum with a webbing wound thereon has one axial end rotatably supported by one sidewall section of a housing, and a shaft section raised from the other axial end is rotatably supported through a cover member mounted on the outer end of the other sidewall section of the housing. The housing has an opening formed in the other sidewall section through which a ratchet gear is inserted with gap therebetween, the ratchet gear being formed on the outer peripheral edge of the winding drum at the other axial end side thereof; and inner teeth formed on the inner peripheral edge of the opening. When pretensioner mechanism is activated and tensile force greater than predetermined level acts on the webbing, the cover member is plastically deformed through the shaft section and locks the ratchet gear into engaged state wherein the ratchet gear is engaged with the inner teeth.

    Abstract: Provided is a locking member mounting structure of a seat belt retractor including: a locking base coupled to one side of a guide drum; a locking clutch rotatably coupled to one side surface of the locking base; a lock arm coupled to one side surface of the locking clutch so as to rotate at a predetermined angle; and a mechanism cover covering the locking clutch and the lock arm, wherein a leaf spring is fixed to extend to one side from a boss formed in the center of the locking clutch, and a fixing piece projects from one surface of the lock arm so as to be fixed to the leaf spring. The leaf spring which returns the lock arm installed in the locking clutch is easily assembled, and assembly time of the leaf spring is reduced, thereby increasing productivity. Further, since the leaf spring has a curved portion or is formed in a stair shape, elasticity of the leaf spring is maintained, and deformation of the leaf spring is prevented.

An elastic seal member is provided on the inner surface side of the blocking end portion and includes a second through hole portion allowing the coupling member to pass therethrough. A gas buffer member is provided at such a position as to sandwich the elastic seal member between the blocking end portion and itself, where a third through hole portion having a shape and a size corresponding to the shape and size of the cross-section of the coupling member is formed.

    Abstract: Provided is a cover structure of a seat belt retractor including a mechanism cover having a latch formed at a cylindrical inner periphery thereof and a vehicle sensor installed at a lower part thereof, in order to reduce assembly time of the vehicle sensor, characterized in that the mechanism cover has an accommodating part having an opened lower surface for disposing the vehicle sensor therein, the accommodating part has a fixing hole formed at one side surface thereof, and the vehicle sensor has a fixing projection projecting from a position corresponding to the fixing hole. Therefore, it is possible to very conveniently and readily assemble the vehicle sensor to the mechanism cover using the cover structure. In addition, since the accommodating part is supported by an extension part, it is possible to prevent deformation of the accommodating part, despite prolonged use. Further, it is possible to reduce assembly time of the vehicle sensor to thereby increase productivity.
