Abstract: Proposed are a layout of a battery cell assembly apparatus and an operating method thereof. The layout comprises a first processing line for manufacturing a first-type electrode assembly, a second processing line for manufacturing a second-type electrode assembly, a stack line for manufacturing a double electrode assembly by stacking and fixing the first-type electrode assembly and the second-type electrode assembly output from the first processing line and the second processing line, a first insertion line for manufacturing a battery cell by inserting the double electrode assembly into a case, and a second insertion line for manufacturing a battery cell by inserting the double electrode assembly into a case, wherein the first processing line and the second processing line are arranged in parallel, and the first insertion line and the second insertion line are arranged in parallel to reduce a length of an entire line.

Abstract: Proposed is a laser welding apparatus for a secondary battery including a lower clamp configured to support a joint area of a plurality of electrode tabs extending from an electrode assembly and an electrode lead stacked on the plurality of electrode tabs, an upper clamp configured to press the joint area of the plurality of electrode tabs and the electrode lead and to have a through hole therein, and a laser generator configured to emit a laser beam, wherein the laser beam passes through the through hole to weld the plurality of electrode tabs and the electrode lead to enable electrical connection.

Abstract: Proposed is a secondary battery manufacturing system including a tab welding unit that performs a welding process on an electrode tab of an electrode assembly and inserts the electrode assembly into a transfer cassette, an inspection unit that inspects the electrode assembly, packaging units provided in parallel for inserting the electrode assembly that has passed the inspection unit into a pouch, a buffer unit that transfers the transfer cassette from the tab welding unit to the inspection unit or stores the transfer cassette, and at least one control unit that controls the electrode assembly supplied from the inspection unit to be selectively supplied to any one packaging unit that operates normally depending on whether the packaging units operate normally, and controls the transfer cassette to be supplied to the inspection unit that operates normally or stored in the buffer unit depending on whether the inspection unit operates normally.
