    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to an improved device for sensing infrared (IR) radiation with upconversion to provide an output of electromagnetic radiation having a shorter wavelength than the incident IR radiation, such as visible light. The device comprises an anode, a hole blocking layer to separate an IR sensing layer from the anode, an organic light emitting layer that is separated from the anode by the IR sensing layer, and a cathode. The hole blocking layer assures that when a potential is applied between the anode and the cathode the organic light emitting layer generates electromagnetic radiation only when the IR sensing layer is irradiated with IR radiation.

Accordingly, the video processing apparatus and method processes access rights with respect to a video signal that is granted only to an authorized user, with a high degree of reliability.

    Abstract: A method for selecting a relay mode depending on channel status of relay links in a multihop relay broadband wireless communication system and a Relay Station (RS) apparatus for supporting the method. When signals are received from a Base Station (BS) and a Mobile Station (MS), channel status values (e.g., eigenvalue, mutual information, and probability error) of relay links (BS-RS link and RS-MS link) are estimated using the received signals. The estimated channel status values are compared with a preset reference value. According to a result of the comparison, the relay mode for relaying the received signals is selected. Accordingly, the reliability of the relayed signal can be enhanced and the capacity of the signal link can be increased.

    Abstract: The disclosed is a density sensing device of a fuel cell system and a fuel cell system having the density sensing device. The density sensing device includes a density sensor that includes a collision sensor and a variable resistor coupled to the collision sensor. The collision sensor is dipped into a fuel solution, and the collisions of molecules of the fuel solution are detected in the collision sensor. The resistance of the variable resistor varies depending on an amount of the collision detected by the collision sensor. The resistance further is converted to a density by the use of a table that includes a relationship between resistance and density. The density sensing device can further include a sensor driver. The sensor driver can be a piezoelectric member that is attached to the collision sensor. The collision sensor vibrates together with the piezoelectric member when a driving signal is applied to the piezoelectric member, which improves the accuracy of the measurement of the density.
