  • Patent number: 8400877
Abstract: Provided is a method and device for measuring a position of an ultrasonic generating device for generating ultrasonic signals and inputting information by using position measurement values of the ultrasonic generating device. Accordingly, a plurality of broadband microphones that can be used as general microphones provided to an electronic device are used in a case where information is input by using an ultrasonic generating device. In this case, a position of the ultrasonic generating device is measured by extracting an ultrasonic signal generated by the ultrasonic generating device from signals received by the broadband microphones, and information is input by using the position of the ultrasonic generating device and a trajectory of the moving ultrasonic generating device.

  • Publication number: 20110268238
Abstract: A remote, precise gap-measuring apparatus for automatically measuring the gap between reactor internals, including a nuclear reactor vessel, a core support barrel, a core shroud, and a lower support structure. The remote, precise gap-measuring apparatus includes digital probes measuring a gap between a nuclear reactor vessel protrusion and a core support barrel protrusion. The nuclear reactor vessel protrusions are disposed on an inner surface of the nuclear reactor vessel, and the core support barrel protrusions are disposed on an outer surface of the core support barrel, engaged with the nuclear reactor vessel protrusions. The apparatus includes a computer coupled to the digital probes to display and store measured values of the gap. A solenoid valve, controlled by the computer, controls compressed air supplied through an air hose to operate the digital probe.

  • Publication number: 20110018844
Abstract: Provided are document information input method and system. When a user writes a document by using an input pen at a working site, a position of the input pen used by the user is measured in real time and position information is transmitted through a wired or wireless communication network to a document information input apparatus. The document information input apparatus can input contents written by the user or figures or characters drawn by the user in a computerization system in real time, so that it is possible to improve work efficiency of document task.

  • Publication number: 20100281984
Abstract: Provided is a method and device for measuring a position of an ultrasonic generating device for generating ultra-sonic signals, and inputting information by using position measurement values of the ultrasonic generating device. Accordingly, a plurality of broadband microphones that can be used as general microphones provided to an electronic device are used in a case where information is input by using an ultrasonic generating device. In this case, a position of the ultrasonic generating device is measured by extracting an ultrasonic signal generated by the ultrasonic generating device from signals received by the broadband microphones, and information is input by using the position of the ultrasonic generating device and a trajectory of the moving ultra-sonic generating device.

  • Publication number: 20090257315
Abstract: Disclosed are a position tracing signal generator unit and an input system using the same. The position tracing signal generator unit of the present invention generates ultrasonic signals with a constant time interval to allow ultrasonic signals generated from a plurality of ultrasonic signal generator to be overlapped and amplified. It is possible to increase the intensity of the ultrasonic signal and lengthen the range. Due to the structural advantages of the present invention as described above, it is possible to solve a problem of the prior art, i.e., a large thickness of the position tracing signal generator unit caused by a large size of the ultrasonic sensor for increasing the intensity of the ultrasonic signal.

  • Patent number: 6904093
Abstract: A video signal processing apparatus, and more particularly, a horizontal/vertical scanning frequency changing apparatus in an MPEG decoding block for changing a method of scanning a decoded signal using an MPEG algorithm without adding an additional motion detecting memory in a decoding process is provided. According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce material expenses by doubling the horizontal/vertical scanning frequency of the video signal without adding the motion detecting memory and the signal interpolating memory in a process of restoring the signal of the MPEG decoding block and to prevent partial deterioration of picture quality during the signal interpolation depending on the motion information due to the restrictions on the memory capacity.

  • Patent number: 6542197
Abstract: A three-dimensional signal processor for performing three-dimensional signal processing such as dual scanning/horizontal frequency conversion of a digital broadcasting signal, using a motion vector included in a decoded signal such that a special motion detecting block is not required. In this processor, three-dimensional signal processing is performed using motion information extracted during decoding, without using a special motion detection memory, thus reducing the manufacturing costs and providing accurate motion information from a transmitter. Therefore, the degradation of image quality can be prevented.
