    Abstract: A method for measuring only a concentration of a peroxycarboxylic acid in an equilibrium mixture containing peroxycarboxylic acid and hydrogen peroxide, comprising the following steps a) and b); a) adding potassium iodide to the equilibrium mixture to cause the generation of iodine and providing the resulting mixture as a measurement sample; and b) measuring the amount of light that goes through the measurement sample to determine only the concentration of a peroxycarboxylic acid.
