  • Patent number: 7690973
Abstract: A harvesting machine including a frame, a plurality of ground engaging wheels, at least one grain separating section, a plurality of cross augers and a grain moving device. The plurality of ground engaging wheels support the frame. The at least one grain separating section is supported by the frame. The plurality of cross augers are positioned to receive grain from the at least one grain separating section. The plurality of cross augers each have an end. The grain moving device is associated with each of the plurality of cross augers proximate to the end of the plurality of cross augers.

  • Publication number: 20070249414
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for opening size of sieve segments of the cleaning system of an agricultural combine disposed in end to end relation, which allows jointly adjusting the sieve sizes, or separate adjustment, and which allows easy and convenient removal and reinstallation of the sieve segments. The mechanism includes an adjusting element in connection with each of the sieve segments, which is movable in a predetermined manner for effecting adjustments in the opening size thereof. Connecting elements connect together the adjusting elements for joint adjustment, and are disconnectable to allow individual adjustment. The predetermined manner of movement can be, for instance, a simple rotational movement, and the connecting elements can include and elongate connecting element, such as a rod or tube which can extend over a substantial portion of the sieve segments.

  • Patent number: 6729637
Abstract: A side swing hitch for a rear end of an agricultural combine. The hitch includes a hitch support bracket having opposite end portions and an intermediate portion therebetween, a first of the end portions including at least one element for mounting to a rear chassis member of the combine with the other end portion suspended in a position rearward of the rear axle assembly connected to the chassis member. A draw bar is pivotally mounted to the second end portion of the hitch support bracket for pivotal movement between a rearwardly extending towing position generally perpendicular to the rear axle assembly and at least one generally transversely extending stored position at least generally perpendicular to the towing position and beside the rear axle assembly, the draw bar having an opposite end including a hitch element connectable to a tongue of a vehicle such as a trailer or cart to be towed by the combine.

  • Patent number: 6572035
Abstract: Rotary accelerating apparatus for a crop residue spreader of an agricultural combine, including blades mounted to a rotatable hub for rotation therewith, each of the blades having a surface oriented to face in the direction of rotation, the surface having opposite, spaced axial edges, and a mounting portion disposed intermediate the edges, and arms connected to and extending between the blades and the hub, each of the blades having first and second surface portions disposed primarily for contacting different flows of crop residue emanating from different locations for integrating, accelerating and discharging the flows for dispersal over an agricultural field, the mounting location of the blades, and the relative shapes and sizes of the portions thereof providing advantageous load distribution and transfer characteristics.
