  • Publication number: 20040222108
Abstract: The present invention provides an article of manufacture, a sealed container of fabric medical articles scented in-situ; and also offers a method and system for scenting in-situ a sealed container of previously constructed fabric articles. This method and system of scenting the raw fibrous materials is indirect; and the structural fabric components comprising a non-woven, woven, or other fabric medical item do not change, and are not added to or subtracted from its intended barrier performance. Also, this method and system of delivering a fragrance of choice to a previously manufactured fabric article does not alter any material, does not modify any structure, and does not affect any physical or chemical property and feature of the fabric and medical article itself.

  • Patent number: 5518402
Abstract: The present invention is a fire fighter trainer. The fire fighter trainer is used to train fire fighters to extinguish a simulated fire scenario. The fire fighter trainer includes a burner assembly for providing fire and a mechanism for detecting application of fire suppressant, suppressing agent or surrogate suppressing agent. The detecting mechanism is disposed adjacent to the burner assembly, such as below it. The fire fighter trainer also includes a control system for controlling the burner depending on a signal from the detecting mechanism. The control system also comprises a mechanism for determining if a burning object simulated by the burner assembly would reignite based on application of fire suppressing agent and parameters defining a simulated burning object. The control system is in communication with the detecting mechanism and the burner assembly. Preferably, there is a mechanism for reigniting the burner assembly based on an output of the determining mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5117962
Abstract: A plurality of screening stations are arranged in a circular array around a continuous conveyor for advancing in step-by-step fashion a plurality of modules from station to station. A module is provided for each station and includes a holder for receiving and securing in place a glass panel for photoprocessing red, blue, and green pixels on each glass panel in the fabrication of a cathode ray tube. The glass panels are supported on each module for rotational and angular movement controlled by a drive mechanism housed on each module. A controller for initiating programmed motion of the glass panel operates the drive mechanism of each module in response to the actuation of selected magnetic switches corresponding to the operations to be performed at a specific station.
