Abstract: The present invention relates to fusion proteins comprising different allergens of the ns-LTPs family, and their use in the prevention and the treatment of allergic symptoms associated to said allergens. In particular, fusion proteins in the form of heterodimers comprising the major allergens of Parietaria judaica, Parj 1 and Parj 2, are described. Methods of preparation of the fusion proteins by expression in genetically modified host cells and pharmaceutical compositions comprising said fusion proteins are described as well.

Abstract: A multimer protein molecule comprising at least a first amino acid sequence having substantially the sequence of one of the Parietaria judaica major allergens and a second amino acid sequence having substantially the sequence of one of the Parietaria judaica major allergens Par j 1 or Par j 2, and a third sequence of one of the Parietaria judaica major allergens Par j 1 or Par j 2. The molecule is also mutated in the amino acid region corresponding to loop 1, so that is hypoallergenic. The molecule can be utilized for medical use as a hypoallergenic agent.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of an isolated allergen component in a serological assay for improved precision in the identification of the actual sensitizer in diagnosis of allergy. This enables not only adequate measures for avoidance of the causative agent but also appropriate selection of treatment of the allergic disease.
