  • Publication number: 20240126886
Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems for providing trusted computing for digital devices. The techniques and systems may use cryptographic algorithms to provide trusted computing and processing. By doing so, the techniques help ensure authentic computation and prevent nefarious acts. For example, a method is described that receives a signature associated with a designee and validates the signature. The signature may be associated with a designee of a host computing device, and the signature may be generated according to firmware associated with an integrated circuit of the host computing device and a first private key of a first asymmetric key pair. Signature validation may be based on a second asymmetric key pair having a second private key and a second public key, the second private key stored in write-once memory of the host computing device.

  • Publication number: 20210311071
Abstract: The subject invention relates to methods for obtaining biological samples of improved quality. It encompasses the identification of markers or proteins in biological samples that are altered due to variations in sample collection, handling and processing. They are also useful for correcting variations in measured results for disease biomarkers. Further, they can permit the rejection of samples or groups of samples as necessary if it is determined that their collection method was not in accordance with the predetermined protocol. • Patent number: 11048699
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a unified file index for a file system. In one example, a Grand Unified File Index (GUFI) includes a tree replicating the directory hierarchy of one or more primary filesystems, and individual metadata stores for each directory. The GUFI tree permits fast traversal, efficient user space access controls, and simple tree directed operations such as renames, moves, or permission changes. In some examples, the individual metadata stores can be implemented as embedded databases on flash storage for speed. In some examples, use of summary tables at the directory or subtree level can eliminate wasteful executions, prune tree traversal, and further improve performance. In various examples, efficient operation can be achieved from laptop to supercomputer scale, across a wide mix of file distributions and filesystems.

  • Patent number: 10038278
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing having an upper wall and a first protrusion and a CPA element slidably coupled to the housing along the upper wall between an extended position and an inserted position. The CPA element includes a base and a first beam extending from the base having a first arm and a first finger including an abutment wall configured to abut against the first protrusion and a tip configured to be engaged by a mating connector when received in the housing. The tip is deflected from a blocked position to a released position with the distal end engaging the protrusion in the blocked position and the tip being deflected outside of the protrusion to the released position where the tip is able to clear past the protrusion to allow the CPA element to be moved from the extended position to the inserted position. The CPA may be configured so that in the extended position it is to block release of a pivotal latch used to retain the connector to a mating connector.

  • Patent number: 9930956
Abstract: A radio retention device designed to provide a secure attachment into the back of the majority of portable radios. A clip strap attaches through a belt loop that locks with a clip strap male buckle and a clip strap female buckle. The clip strap is attached to a radio strap which is then attached to a radio male buckle. The radio male buckle snaps into a radio clip which is secured to the back of a radio. A user of the radio retention device can attach the device to the radio and holster providing a secure attachment that will not interfere with the use of the radio. The device can also be embedded into a new holster (FIG. 4) by securing the radio strap directly to the inside of the holster. The security of the device will ensure that the lifeline of communication will not be removed from the professionals that use portable radio systems.
