  • Publication number: 20190182559
Abstract: A video advertising system, methods, and apparatus are disclosed, which may include an advertising system, including an advertising server and advertising console, and a user device, which may cooperate to select video advertising campaigns and display video advertisements. In an example embodiment, a method includes playing a video on a display, overlaying markings on the video while the video plays, at a first time while the video plays, measuring a first refresh rate of the video, at a second time while the video plays, performing a first operation on the markings, measuring a second refresh rate of the video at the second time, and determining an estimated area of the video displayed on the display based on the first refresh rate and the second refresh rate. In an example embodiment, a prediction model is trained to output a viewability inference for a video.

  • Publication number: 20180330404
Abstract: Real-time technographic advertisement is disclosed. For example, a network accessible device is selected to receive an advertisement, and a determination is made that the network accessible device is in use by a user. In response to determining that the network accessible device is in use by the user, a current state of operation of the network accessible device is determined based on a plurality of device attributes of the network accessible device, which are based on measureable physical characteristics of the network accessible device. In response to determining that the current state of operation is a first state, the advertisement is sent to the network accessible device. In response to determining that the current state of operation is a second state, either the current state of operation is reevaluated or the network accessible device is deselected for receiving the advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20180330408
Abstract: Advertising based on real-time audience is disclosed. For example, first and second network accessible devices, associated with a common user attribute of a plurality of users is quantified. A first publisher is selected based on comparing inventory attributes of first and second publishers, to deliver the advertisement to a first user selected based on user attributes, including reserving a first advertisement slot used to send the advertisement. A determination is made whether a target audience size for the advertisement has been fulfilled. If the target audience size for the advertisement is fulfilled, a consumption result of the advertisement is reported. If the target audience size for the advertisement is unfulfilled, the first publisher is selected based on comparing inventory attributes of the first and second publishers to deliver the advertisement to a second user selected based on user attributes, including reserving a second advertisement slot used to send the advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20160364746
Abstract: A system for generating behavior segments and serving targeted ads. The system generates variables based on data from targeted users, incorporates recency, frequency, and velocity for the variables; optimizes the variables; converts the variables into behavior segments; and saves the behavior segments to a database. The system updates the behavior segments in real time. When a publisher requests an ad call, the system generates a score for advertisements based on the user profile, multiplies the score by the amount each advertiser is willing to pay for serving their ad, selects the highest value, and serves the ad.

  • Patent number: 8689238
Abstract: In one embodiment, an impression to be displayed in a placement of a web page is selected from candidate impressions that may be displayed in the placement. The candidate impression may be chosen based on behavioral data and a placement identifier particularly identifying the placement. The behavioral data may include categories of websites visited by an end-user on the client computer. The candidate impressions may be in learning modes, and the impression displayed in the placement may be selected based on its learning mode and revenue generation capability.

  • Patent number: 8255413
Abstract: The present invention relates to an advanced search engine. The advanced search engine may include a client component for monitoring an end-user's browsing activity, a remote server (may comprise one or more computers) for storing and processing data received from the client component, and a module that process web pages and serves search results to end-users. The advanced search engine may collect web pages for keywords of proven interest, fetch web pages requested by end-users, generate snippets or abstracts of the web pages, eliminate duplicate web pages, rank the importance of the web pages, and provide relevant web pages or links to web pages in response to an end-user search request for information regarding one or more keywords, for example. Particular aspects of the present invention are described in the claims, specification and drawings.

  • Publication number: 20100088152
Abstract: A system for predicting user responses to advertisements comprises a data collection component, a segmentation component, a modeling component, a rule building component, and an ad scoring component. The data collection component receives data from cookies stored on each client and from other sources. The segmentation component organizes the data according to segments. The modeling component groups users according to segments and compares a user's actions to the models to predicts the user's future responses. The rule building component generates an ad campaign comprised of rules. The model or the rules are compared to a plurality of rules to generate a score. The ad with the highest combination of a score and a bid is displayed on the client.
