  • Publication number: 20250144889
Abstract: Methods of controlling induction welding. An electrically conductive metal is machined into a heat sink comprising a plurality of channels extending from a first end of the heat sink to a second end of the heat sink. The plurality of channels is connected to a fluid control system comprising a number of pumps, a heater, a chiller, and a number of valves. The heat sink is positioned on top of a first composite part and clamped to a support structure underneath the first composite part. An electromagnetic field is applied to the first composite part under the heat sink to inductively weld the first composite part to a second composite part beneath the first composite part to form a thermoplastic joint. A heat control fluid is flowed through the plurality of channels to control a temperature of the first composite part during induction welding of the thermoplastic joint.

  • Patent number: 11992249
Abstract: A system includes an implant and a packaging device assembled with the implant to hold an outer sleeve and a head element of the implant in a desired position relative to one another. The packaging device includes clip arms sized and shaped so that, when the arms are held toward a closed configuration, the implant is housed therebetween in the desired position and proximal ends of the arms form a space via which an insertion device is insertable to be coupled to the implant, and a housing defining a space within which the clip is housed. The housing includes a retaining feature for retaining the clip therein and a camming element which, when a proximal force is exerted on the implant via the insertion device coupled thereto, causes the arms to move away from one toward an open configuration to release the implant therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20230306876
Abstract: Anatomical models capable of mimicking a range of motion of a human skeletal joint. The models include first and second facsimile bone members having adjacent interconnected portions to define a facsimile skeletal joint, and a rod assembly. A first end of a rod of the rod assembly has a clamping assembly mounted thereto that includes clamping members for clamping a portion of the first facsimile bone member therebetween. The clamping assembly includes a clamping mechanism operable to collapse the clamping members toward each other to capture and compress the portion of the first facsimile bone member therebetween and prevent the first facsimile bone member from being removed either axially or transversely from the rod assembly.

  • Patent number: 10857319
Abstract: Continuity of therapy associated with a respiratory treatment device may be measured. Information relating to therapy administered via the respiratory treatment device to a subject during a therapy session may be received. Based on the received information, a quantity of therapy interruption events that occurred during the therapy session may be determined. A continuity indicator may be determined based on the quantity of therapy interruption events that occurred during the therapy session. The continuity indicator is indicative of continuity of therapy associated with the respiratory treatment device during the therapy session.

  • Patent number: 10286165
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing respiratory therapy to a subject respond and/or adapt to the detection of an occurrence of a respiratory event. For example, the pressure level of a pressurized flow of breathable gas may be increased responsive to the occurrence of one or more apneas. Based on usage information spanning more than one therapy session, such as the tracked pressure levels, a starting pressure level for a pressurized flow of breathable gas for a subsequent therapy session is determined. The starting level at the beginning of the subsequent therapy session(s) may be the 90% pressure level as determined during the preceding period during which usage information has been gathered.
