  • Patent number: 9495967
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are systems, methods, devices, and machine readable mediums which may produce an audio recording with included verification from the individuals in the recording that the recording is accurate. In some examples, the system may also provide rights management control to those individuals. This may ensure that individuals participating in audio events that are to be recorded are assured that their words are not changed, taken out of context, or otherwise altered and that they retain control over the use of their words even after the physical file has left their control.

  • Publication number: 20150091713
Abstract: Various systems and methods for vehicle theft detection are described herein. In an embodiment, a driver of the vehicle is identified with an onboard system. The onboard system then determines whether the driver is an authorized operator of the vehicle, where the determination based on sensor data collected from a sensor installed in the vehicle. When the driver is not an authorized operator of the vehicle, a security recovery process is performed.

  • Publication number: 20110161721
Abstract: A method and system for achieving a remote control help session on a computing device. The method includes receiving, at an online service datacenter, a request from a remote service provider computer to obtain a pass code for an end user of a malfunctioning computing device. Sending the pass code to the remote service provider computer, wherein a service provider technician provides the pass code to the end user. Securely connecting the malfunctioning computing device to the online service datacenter. Securely connecting the remote service provider computer to the online service datacenter. Linking the remote service provider computer to a PC session indicated by the pass code and enabling the service provider computer to connect through the online service datacenter to the malfunctioning computing device.

  • Publication number: 20100306177
Abstract: An embodiment may include circuitry that may be comprised in a host that may execute an operating system and/or in a server. The circuitry may generate, at least in part, and/or receive, at least in part, at least one request to initiate, at least in part, at least one operation at the host. The least one operation may facilitate, at least in part, examination remotely from the host of information stored at the host. The at least one operation may be performed independently from the operating system and also may be performed at least in part by the circuitry. The examination may facilitate, at least in part, remotely from the host, backup, recovery, and/or determination of corruption of mass storage data stored at the host. Of course, many variations, modifications, and alternatives are possible without departing from this embodiment.

  • Publication number: 20100083381
Abstract: A device, system, and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, the device includes a storage medium to store files. The device also includes a manageability engine. The manageability engine accesses a virus signature file. The manageability engine then performs an anti-virus scan using patterns in the signature file to compare to one or more of the files. The manageability engine then reports the results of the scan to an external agent.

  • Publication number: 20030120827
Abstract: An indication from a device is received through a network. Upon a determination from the indication that the device is in a state in which a first system has not been loaded on the device, the device is instructed through the network to load the first system. Upon receiving through the network from the device an indication that the first system has been loaded, it is indicated through a (possibly remote) user interface that the device is in an “available” state in which the device is available to load an operating system selectable through the user interface. In one embodiment, upon a selection of an operating system, the device is instructed through the network to load the operating system. Upon receiving through the network from the device an indication that the operating system has been loaded, it is indicated through the user interface that the device is in a “provisioned” state in which an operating system has been loaded for the device.
