  • Patent number: 9637023
Abstract: A motor controller including a control unit designed for receiving and/or processing a movement signal and for outputting a control signal depending on the movement signal, and including a power stage which is designed for enabling an electric energy flow as a function of the control signal, and further including a sensor designed for detecting a movement of the electric motor and for providing a movement-dependent sensor signal to a sensor input of the control unit, wherein the control unit is designed for detecting a usage-dependent load value for a movement system driven by the electric motor and wherein the control unit includes a component memory for storing parameters of components of the movement system, a processing device for combining the parameters with incoming sensor signals to produce a load value and a load value memory for storing the established load value.

Assignee: FESTO AG & CO. KG
Inventors: Dominic Kadynski, Jan Reimer, Martin Gulla
  • Patent number: 9496815
Abstract: A method for operating a linear motor assembly includes: open-loop controlled introduction of electric energy to a first stator segment provided with solenoids for an open-loop controlled provision of a magnetic field for a permanent magnet arrangement of a conveying means for a generation of drive forces, and closed-loop controlled introduction of electric energy to a second stator segment provided with a measuring device for a detection of a position of a conveying means and with solenoids for a closed-loop controlled provision of a magnetic field acting on the conveying means, wherein a controlling device effects a temporary switch-over of the second stator segment from a closed-loop controlled state to an open-loop controlled state at a transition of the conveying means from the first stator segment to the second stator segment, and/or at a transition of the conveying means from the second stator segment to the first stator segment.
