A registration code is generated for a mobile device based on a location of that device during participation in an augmented reality game. A representation of the registration code of the device is received from a different device. A position of the different mobile device with respect to the device is determined based on a size of the representation of the registration code. The location of the device and the position of the different device are synched. Views of an object in the augmented reality game by the device and the different device are adjusted based on the synched location and position.
