The toilet bowl cleaning system incorporates a reusable handle and one or more dissolvable cleaning heads configured to engage with the reusable handle. The dissolvable cleaning heads are formed of a cleaning material that dissolves over a predetermined time when exposed to water. The reusable handle has an interconnecting end that is provided with an engagement point that cooperatively interacts with the dissolvable head to provide a secure connection. The connection may be physical, such as frictional or mechanical in nature. The connection may be chemical in nature, such as an adhesive that may be activated via a liquid, such as water.
