Publication number: 20250067227Abstract: A method for generating correcting variables for the operation of an internal combustion engine which comprises exhaust gas valves and which comprises at least one component, through which the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine flows, wherein values of the temperature occurring at the exhaust gas valves during operation of the internal combustion engine are read out from a first characteristic map. The method is characterized in that values of correcting variables are read out from a further characteristic map, which is at least partially an inverted characteristic map with respect to the first characteristic map, which are predefined such that specified maximum values of the component temperature are not exceeded for the component through which the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine flows.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2024Publication date: February 27, 2025Inventors: Michaela Plonka, Dominik Miekautsch, Matthias Pfau, Christian Diederich, Michael Stein, Detlef Heinrich

Patent number: 12008508Abstract: A receptacle device which detects when mail has been delivered to the receptacle using a pressure sensor, IR beam, and/or a magnetic sensor. The receptacle device is connected to a wireless or wired network and is configured to communicate with a smart home system at the delivery point. The receptacle detects mail delivery and communicates this information via a network bridge to the smart home device of the recipient. The network bridge also gathers information from an informed delivery system which includes information regarding and images of mailpieces being delivered for a given day. The network bridge sends images of mailpieces which were delivered and additional mailpiece information to the recipient on the smart home system. For parcel, the network bridge can receive information regarding parcels to be delivered and can provide delivery estimates and visual tracking on a map.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2020Date of Patent: June 11, 2024Assignee: United States Postal ServiceInventors: Christopher James Karpenko, William G. Ackerman, Dominik Heinrich, Christiane Braun-Rubino, Anthony Jones, Daniel Karlsson, Jordan Diatlo, Daniel Bersak

Patent number: 11625666Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for the delivery of physical items using a digital stamp. Various implementations include operations such as receiving a request from a user to deliver an item to a destination using a digital stamp, wherein the item includes destination information and lacks any physical indicator that the delivery fee for the item has been paid or will be paid; receiving a destination address from the user; determining a delivery fee for the item; and generating a digital stamp using the destination address, the delivery fee, and user account information for the user. The operations may also include obtaining an image of the item including the destination information; determining, from the image, that the item lacks any physical indicator regarding the delivery fee; checking for a digital stamp corresponding to the item; and directing the item for delivery to the destination information, if the digital stamp is found.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2022Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICEInventors: Anthony Cramer Jones, Dominik Heinrich, Caspar Serge Ouvaroff
