  • Patent number: 10792125
Abstract: A surgical device for stabilizing tissue or positioning organs, or for positioning and holding surgical instruments and devices during a surgical intervention, includes a main body and a flexible arm. The flexible arm can be fastened to the main body, which can be brought into different positions and/or locations and which can be locked in a desired positioning by a tightening mechanism. The tightening mechanism can be tightened and/or released self-actingly and/or by an energy source. In a locked state of the flexible arm, the tightening mechanism has a retightening reserve, and the flexible arm can be automatically retightened in order to maintain its locked state, in particular by an introduction of energy from the energy source or self-actingly, by utilization of the retightening reserve. A retightening mechanism for use in the surgical device automatically retightens a flexible arm when in a locked state to maintain its locked state.

  • Patent number: 10433823
Abstract: A medical device includes two device units having two functional units that can be coupled to each other to actuate the second functional unit via the first functional unit. The first functional unit has a mechanical coupling segment which can be brought into a coupling position to couple with the second functional unit. A detector for detecting a relative position of the two device units or a distance between the two device units is provided on at least one device unit. The electrical or electronic control of the first functional unit is configured such that the mechanical coupling segment of the first functional unit can be brought into the coupling position only if the two device units are in a certain position with respect to each other or fall below a minimum distance from each other.

  • Patent number: 10098623
Abstract: A surgical device for stabilizing or immobilizing moved tissue or for positioning organs, especially a part of a beating heart, includes a flexible arm, especially a link arm, fixed or fixable to a base member which arm can be brought into different positions and/or attitudes and at the free end of which at least one retaining element is arranged, and comprising a tightening mechanism by which the arm can be fixed at a desired position. The tightening mechanism is tightened and/or released by means of a manually controllable external power source.

  • Patent number: 9743916
Abstract: A surgical positioning instrument for supporting and holding organs includes a preferably concave bearing portion and a supporting portion substantially rearward with respect to the bearing portion. Via the bearing portion an organ which is to be positioned can be received and via the supporting portion the surgical positioning instrument can be supported at an environment of the organ. Further, at least the bearing portion partly simulates a surface of the organ to be supported and is designed to be dimensionally stable.

  • Publication number: 20140296650
Abstract: The present application discloses a telescopic retractor holder comprising a telescopic rod with an inner tube, an outer tube and a locking mechanism as well as a retractor rod. Said retractor rod has at its one end a retractor mounting, which is adapted for releasably gripping a retractor, and at its other end is fastened to the telescopic rod by means of a jointed connection. The telescopic rod can be supported on an operating table and has an actuating mechanism, by which the locking mechanism can be transferred from a first position, in which the inner tube and the outer tube of the telescopic rod are held immovably in relation to one another, into a second position, in which the inner tube and the outer tube of the telescopic rod are movable in relation to one another in the longitudinal direction of the tubes.
