  • Patent number: 9163855
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus including an induction device (110) for heating water in a channel and supplied by a high-frequency generator (113), and an electromagnetic scale-preventative device (120) upstream from the heating circuit (110) and powered by a frequency generator (113). A channel sensor (130) detects a request for water and a control circuit (150) receives the water request signal (Sec) from the sensor (130) so as to control the operation of the heating circuit (110) and of the scale-preventative device (120), adjusting the power thereof in order to adjust the temperature and to stop the operation thereof.

  • Publication number: 20080223846
Abstract: An electrical heating apparatus having an emitting surface, in particular in the form of a panel. It comprises a heating device having a vessel receiving a small volume of low-boiling-temperature phase-transition liquid, and an electrical heating body for the liquid in the vessel, a closed casing forming the emitting surface, surmounting the vessel and in communication with the latter to form a pressure-resistant hermetic enclosure for the liquid vapour and the condensate.

  • Publication number: 20070114073
Abstract: A capacitive sensor to detect a finger for an operation of a control and/or command comprises an electrically insulating layer forming a detection surface fitted with position marks for application of a finger, and generation of a signal by positioning or movement of the finger. A capacitive layer is covered by an insulating layer and formed by a stack of alternating conductive sections and non-conductive sections placed on edge. At least some conductive layers are linked to elementary contacts to form parts of capacitors distributed in cells. The capacitance of all capacitors of a cell is added together in the signal supplied by the cell. A processing circuit linked to the cell connectors of the capacitive cells receives the capacitive signals to evaluate and compare them, and to establish whether they correspond to the presence of a finger, and to determine the nature of the finger.

  • Patent number: 6528770
Abstract: The invention concerns an induction cooking hob with multiple inductors fed at the same frequency or multiples of a common fundamental frequency to avoid beat frequencies. Separate generators are provided for two or more heaters. A high-power heater is provided with two or more inductors. To provide maximum power, the second inductor of the high-power heater may be supplied with power switched from the generator for a different heater.

  • Patent number: 6498325
Abstract: A modular induction heated cooking hob inductor and hob are disclosed. The inductor is a wound conductor having turns at substantially right angles to previous turns. Parallel turns of the conductor are separated by a layer of insulation adjacent to the turns of the conductor. The hob may comprise multiple inductors. The inductor may have sensors for detecting a device to be heated and/or illuminatable segments that light up in response to the presence of an object to be heated.
