  • Patent number: 10760328
Abstract: A structural glazing assembly is provided. The structural glazing assembly comprises a frame and a transparent panel, optionally spaced apart by a transparent spacer material. The frame and panel being adhered to each other by a layer of a transparent silicone elastomer located there between. In general, the silicone elastomer is the cured elastomeric product of a moisture-curable hot melt silicone adhesive composition.

  • Publication number: 20190211613
Abstract: An insulating glass unit is provided. The insulating glass unit comprises two glass panes spaced apart by a transparent spacer material adherent to the glass panes, e.g. a silicone hot melt material. Optionally, an inert or heavy gas is trapped within the unit. The insulating glass unit further comprises a layer of a transparent silicone elastomer located at the periphery of the unit between edge portions of the glass panes and in contact with external surfaces of the spacer. Processes for making the insulating glass unit are also described herein.

  • Patent number: 5844038
Abstract: The present invention discloses the use of a polymer chain having at least one carboxylic acid anhydride group as a consistency stabilizer in the base part of a two-part silicone sealant. The base part consists essentially of the consistency stabilizer, 100 parts by weight of a polymeric material having not less than two groups bonded to silicon which are hydroxyl or hydrolysable groups, 5 to 150 parts by weight of filler and, optionally, pigments and/or plasticizers.
