  • Patent number: 11958058
Abstract: A system for sorting metallic objects by magnetic separation has an electromagnetic core. The electronic core includes at least a first portion, a second portion, and a bottom. A sorting flap is arranged facing the electromagnetic core to fashion a circulation space for a conveyor of objects to be sorted from the first portion toward the second portion. The sorting flap includes a magnetic element arranged to form an air gap (E1) between the first portion and the sorting flap. The air gap forms a magnetic barrier opposing the passage of non-magnetic metallic objects, such that the objects are ejected from the conveyor. The second portion is arranged to ensure a return of the magnetic flux lines toward the first portion.

  • Patent number: 5798381
Abstract: Bistramide derivatives with virtually no toxic effects, of formula (I) wherein --R.sub.1, X, Y and R.sub.2 are a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbonaceous chain having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, substituted by at least one --OH group and/or a ketone function, including, if need be, at least one ring (a), the ring including one more unsaturations; --R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are the same or different and are selected from hydrogen, alkyl or alkoxy radicals having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a group --COOH, --OH, --NH or --NO.sub.2, or a halogen atom. The invention also concern bistramide derivatives of formula (I) such as ethers or esters and their isomers, excluding A, B and C bistramides. Said bistramides are useful especially as drugs having a cytostatic effect, in particular as antitumour or anti-parasitic drugs.

  • Patent number: 5155552
Abstract: An interferometric unit consisting of a birefringent plate combined with an isotropic plate. This unit makes it possible to work with materials whose birefringence is slight and/or to reduce the necessary thickness of the birefringent plate. The unit is suited for integration into an interferometric device whose particular application is the detection of gases with quasi-periodic absorption structure absorbing in the infra-red.

  • Patent number: 5040895
Abstract: Process and interferometric device for detecting and measuring the concentration, in a single operation, of all gases, having almost periodic absorption structures, contained in a gaseous mixture, each of the gases being associated with a characteristic path difference. Luminous flux is analyzed after passage through a cell containing the mixture, using to a multiple-wave interferometer, for example, a Fabry-Perrot interferometer, in which the inside faces of plates therein are highly reflective, and one of which plates is displaceable at a constant speed, it thus being possible to sweep a very wide range of path difference. Analysis of the output signal is performed frequency band by frequency band, by seeking the maximum.

  • Patent number: 4987297
Abstract: The apparatus includes at least one light-reflecting element (11) disposed on a portion of at least one of the conventional rotary elements (10) of the mechanism of a mechanical fluid meter. The apparatus further includes a light-emitting circuit (130) and a light-detecting and converting circuit (140) with first and second concentric fibers (21, 22) providing an optical connection between the circuits and the meter. The electrical signal delivered by the conversion circuit (140) is amplified and the amplified electrical signal is compared with first and second thresholds (S1, S2). An alarm and indicator circuit is responsive to the comparison made with the first threshold (S1), and a circuit (190) counts and stores the pulses delivered after comparison with the second threshold (S2).
