  • Patent number: 11628603
Abstract: The invention relates to a sound protection panel for cladding a wall of an automotive vehicle, the panel includes a mass-spring system. The panel has a lower spring layer based on a resiliently compressible material, an upper mass layer based on resiliently compressible foam flakes, the flakes being bound together by a two-component fibre-based bonding agent comprising a core. The core is fusible at a high temperature or infusible, and a sheath fusible at a lower temperature, the flakes being fused with the sheath to form an upper agglomerated layer.

  • Patent number: 11052580
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a sound proofing trim panel comprising the steps of providing an elastically compressible lower layer, heating the lower layer and placing it in a mould to shape it to form a spring layer of a spring-mass type damping system. The method further includes associating the lower layer with an upper layer, to form the mass of the spring-mass system. According to the invention, the lower layer comprises a blend of elastically compressible foam flakes forming at least 80 wt.-% of the lower layer and being mixed with binder fibres. The fibres comprising a core and a sheath that is fusible at a moderate temperature, and the flakes being bonded to one another by means of the fusing of the sheath forming a binder, such that the lower layer takes the form of a bonded foam.

  • Patent number: 10909960
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a protective sound panel for a motor vehicle. The method involves producing a complex including a fibre-based porous back layer, an intermediate layer of shredded recycled material, and a porous front layer, placing the complex in a thermoforming mould to produce a three-dimensional shell, placing the shell in an RIM mould and injecting a foam precursor mixture in order to form a sealed acoustic insulation barrier the binder being incorporated into the front layer. The front layer having a mass per unit area of between 500 and 2000 g/m2, and at least one lightly compressed, high-absorption region with a thickness of between 4 and 10 mm, the minimum total percentage of the lightly compressed region being 40%.
