  • Patent number: 10180311
Abstract: An igniter for propulsion unit including a receptacle having at least one opening through which passes a conducting line connected to an ignition carrier of a slapper contained within the receptacle, the igniter being characterized in that at least one elastomer material is disposed between the ignition carrier and the opening such that the pressure of the gases generated by the propulsion unit which is ignited pushes the elastomer material at the vicinity of the opening of the receptacle so that this elastomer material blocks the opening and avoids any gas leak through this opening.

Date of Patent: January 15, 2019
    Assignees: NEXTER MUNITIONS, ROXEL FRANCE

  • Patent number: 9777673
Abstract: A method is provided for solid-propellant engines to be dismantled safely and in accordance with environmental standards having been scrapped. For each engine to be dismantled, it is mounted on a static test rig, immersed in a tank filled with water and started such that propellant is used up under the water. The soluble part of the combustion products (gases or condensates) thus remains trapped in the water in the tank while the non-soluble solid products drop to the bottom of the tank. The body of the engine emptied of its fuel in this way and rendered pyrotechnically inert is then taken apart or disassembled. Periodically, the water in the tank is withdrawn and the tank stripped of its deposits such that subsequent dismantling operations can be carried out under proper conditions. All of the combustion products recovered are sent to appropriate reprocessing plants. The method allows high dismantling rates.

  • Patent number: 5241307
Abstract: Sound signaling and optical signaling at a crosswalk are both activated by a single push button. An activation of optical signaling such as green and red figurines is immediate, whereas the transmission of a sound message authorizing or forbidding a crossing is activated only when the pedestrian pushes the button for a predetermined time. The generation device for sound signals is controlled by a microprocessor including logic and analog inputs and outputs, the messages being stored in digital form and transmitted according to the ADPCM method.
