  • Patent number: 4725641
Abstract: The invention relates to a thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. The thermoplastic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition according to the invention comprises as essential elements a styrene-isoprene-styrene elastomer, at least one tackifying resin selected from aliphatic hydrocarbon, C8-aromatic and terpenephenolic resins and a block copolymer with elastomeric and rigid segments selected from copolyetheresteramides and copolyetheresterurethanes. It further preferably comprises a tackifying naphthenic oil and fillers. The composition according to the invention is particularly useful for bonding decorative streeps, protective rubber trims, mirrors, etc to panel bodies of painted cars and is therefore resistant to heat and gasoline.

  • Patent number: 4630270
Abstract: A method for identifying the rank of a faulty cell in a chain of cells forming a shift register in a functional element, each cell including a pair of latches acting as master-slave elements having data inputs, clock inputs, and data outputs, each cell being associated with a combinatorial logic block. In one embodiment the location or rank of the faulty cell is determined by placing the faulty functional element in a static mode, applying a square pulse to its data input, observing the output waveform representing variations of input current that occur during propagation of the pulse along the chain, and detecting the absence of these variations, the absence indicating a defective cell just loaded with a data bit. The rank of the faulty cell is determined in one embodiment by comparing the output waveform with that of a known satisfactory functional element, either manually or automatically.

  • Patent number: 4587289
Abstract: The invention relates to new adhesive thermoplastic compositions. The adhesive thermoplastic compositions according to the invention comprise at least one rubbery constituent and at least one resinous constituent and, if appropriate, other constituents, such as a plasticizer, filler and/or stabilizer, which are commonly incorporated into known adhesive thermoplastic compositions, generally called hot melts, but they also contain at least one special resin including regions of high cohesion incompatible with the rubbery constituent on the molecular scale, but miscible on the macroscopic scale. The compositions according to the invention are particularly useful for sealing double glazing units.
