  • Publication number: 20060117057
Abstract: Techniques are described for publishing multidimensional data from an enterprise software system. A relational database schema is automatically created for storing the multidimensional data. The database schema may be a relational star schema as described herein. The techniques may include processes for automatically producing the database schema based on the organization of the multidimensional data cube, and for populating the database schema with data from the data cube. The database schema may be used for reporting the multidimensional enterprise data, or may serve as a staging area to move the enterprise data toward a data warehouse within an enterprise software system. The reporting schema may support heterogeneous data types and heterogeneous formats. The reporting schema may also contain metadata that describes the schema, allowing for enhanced interpretation of the database schema. Also described is a process for automatically generating a reporting model from the database schema.

  • Publication number: 20060116976
Abstract: Techniques are described for generating dimension information in hierarchical form. A computer-implemented system, for example, includes a data store having multidimensional data. The multidimensional data includes a data cube having a dimension. The system further includes an executable software module that accesses the data store and generates hierarchy data describing a hierarchy of the dimension of the data cube. The software module generates the hierarchy data so that the hierarchy data is guaranteed to aggregate to totals represented within the data cube.

  • Patent number: 6810756
Abstract: A rotating plug (4) is installed in a body (1) and can be in different positions in which two lateral drillings come in front of the orifices corresponding to the body (1) or a sampling orifice (18) in front of which a flask is placed. The fluid to be sampled is circulated so that it fills a chamber (12) delimited by the rotating plug (4), and the rotating plug is then turned until one of its drillings is facing the sampling orifice (18) and a piston (11) delimiting the chamber (12) is pushed in to extract the required quantity of the sample. This device is simple and has an excellent seal.

  • Patent number: 6736844
Abstract: A stent having a first filamentary element (20) with a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, and being spirally coiled in at least its central portion, and a second filamentary element (30) spirally coiled along its central portion and overlapping the first filamentary element to form a double helix is disclosed along with a method for forming such a stent. At least one end portion of the first filamentary element is ring-shaped to provide increased radial support at that end of the stent.

  • Publication number: 20020096431
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mold for the manufacture of an electrophoresis cassette, the mold comprising a body having a cassette molding part formed on one face thereof, the cassette molding part being surrounded by a peripheral sheet engaging portion extending in a plane located at a different elevation than the cassette molding part to provide for substantially uniform stretching of the sheet on the cassette molding part.

  • Publication number: 20020079222
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a disposable electrophoresis cassette particularly suitable for pre-cast polyacrylamide gels for protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis. The invention also comprises a support plate for the said cassette that acts as a heat sink and provides a more uniform migration front in operation since the temperature of the gel is substantially the same during electrophoresis operation. Also disclosed is a novel comb element for filling the cassette, and a novel method therefor.

  • Patent number: 5829681
Abstract: A spray gun for dispensing two liquids under pressure independently from one another or both simultaneously to form a mixture. The spray gun has a barrel in which are independently displaced two valves which are each spring biased to a closed position. A pair of trigger levers are pivotally secured to a single handle of the spray gun and independently or simultaneously actuable by the fingers of a single hand of the user person whereby to dispense two fluids independently or simultaneously. The valves are mounted coaxially within one another within the barrel of the gun. The valve assembly is easily removed from the barrel of the gun to facilitate servicing and assembly.
