Patent number: 7455707Abstract: A reverse flow air filter arrangement is provided. The arrangement includes a filter element having first and second end caps, the second end cap having a central drainage aperture. A funnel shape on an interior surface of second end cap is used to direct moisture flow to the drainage aperture. The arrangement includes a housing in which the filter element is positioned, operatively, during use. Certain features in the housing facilitate moisture withdrawal from the filter element while also inhibiting interference with sealing between the filter element and the housing.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2003Date of Patent: November 25, 2008Assignee: Donaldson Company, Inc.Inventors: Donald Francis Engel, Dolan Bartels, John Hacker, Bruce Crenshaw, Shirley A. Patent number: 6939159Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing having a mating end and a wire receiving end. A cover is provided on the wire receiving end of the housing. The cover has a ridge on an interior surface thereof to stabilize the cover on the housing. The cover flexes about the ridge when the cover is mounted on the housing. A connector position assurance element (CPA) is slidably received in a channel on the cover and is movable between a pre-staged position and a staged position. The CPA engages a connector latch on the housing to assure that a mating connector is fully mated to the connector when the CPA is in the staged position. The CPA includes a simply supported latch beam having a latch element thereon that engages a step in the channel to latch the CPA to the cover.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2004Date of Patent: September 6, 2005Assignee: Tyco Electronics CorporationInventors: David Allen Klein, Christopher Allgood, Don Harold Crowe

Patent number: 5758288Abstract: A cellular telephone mobile unit position determining method which utilizes a plurality of range transceivers located at known fixed locations adapted to transmit approximately synchronized digital range signals. The method is especially adapted to determine the position of a cellular mobile unit within cellular service areas for determining billing charges and/or access restrictions. According to the invention, the fixed position range transceivers transmit range signals which are received by a mobile unit. The mobile unit determines either the time difference of arrival or absolute time of arrival of the range signals, which in turn is used to determine the mobile unit's position for cellular billing and/or access restriction purposes. The range transceivers are operable to receive an error signal and correspondingly adjust the output of the next transmitted range signal so as to drive the detected synchronization error to approximately zero.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1997Date of Patent: May 26, 1998Inventors: Michael Jeffrey Dunn, Don Harold Atherly, Douglas Otto John Reudink, Martin Jay Feuerstein, Ronald Ernest Foerster, Ching Chuang, Dino John Vendetti
