  • Patent number: 6241930
Abstract: A method of attaching an applique to a garment includes the providing of die press member and a backing plate press member. Die cavities are formed on one face of the injection molding die press member, each preferably of a uniform thickness of about 1.0-3.5 mm. The die cavities are open for communicating with a garment surface. The open area corresponds in size and shape with final design elements to be affixed to the garment. The garment is placed in-between the die and a backing plate member. The injection molding die member places its open cavity portion against the garment. The backing plate press member and die press member squeeze the garment therebetween to form a seal at the peripheral surface. The die member and an injection moldable silicone polymer are heated to a temperature of about 200-250 degrees Fahrenheit (200° F.-250° F.).

  • Patent number: 5708253
Abstract: An apparatus and method for computerized interactive control, measurement and documentation of are welding utilizing a single power source that facilitates continuous precision welding. Operational interactivity between the welding operations and the workpiece operations, in connection with predetermined optimum welding operational parameters, provides contemporaneous feedback of critical welding operational parameters to the welding operator, producing an alarm if welding is attempted outside a first predetermined range of deviation from optimum welding operational parameters and temporarily interrupting power to the welding operation if welding is attempted outside of a second predetermined range of deviation from the optimum welding operation parameters. A complete log of the welding operational parameters is stored for subsequent retrieval and display, providing training and evaluation of welding operators as well as verification of compliance with required welding practices and procedures.

  • Patent number: 5636385
Abstract: A clothing article in the form of a T-shirt, sweat shirt, or the like allows a hologram sheet design to be displayed through the window of a flexible frame member. The hologram sheet is in the form of a flat layer having an inner surface that faces the clothing article and a hologram three dimensional artistic surface facing away from the clothing article, the hologram surface displaying the three dimensional holographic art image outwardly to viewers. The flexible frame member is layered on top of the hologram layer, providing a peripheral welt that can be used to stitch the combination of the hologram sheet layer and flexible frame member to the clothing article. The flexible frame member is preferably of a polymeric material such as PVC providing a base layer having a window opening in its center for displaying the holographic art image therethrough.
