  • Patent number: 8289656
Abstract: A disk drive is disclosed comprising a disk, a head actuated over the disk, a preamp, and an interconnect for coupling the head to the preamp. The interconnect comprises a first transmission line stacked over a second transmission line, and a dielectric between the first transmission line and second transmission line. A shape of the first and second transmission lines varies along a length of the interconnect such that the interconnect comprises an approximation of an inductor/capacitor ladder network.

  • Publication number: 20110274799
Abstract: A mold inhibiting emulsion including: an aqueous phase that includes water; a non-aqueous phase that may optionally include an oil; at least one emulsifier; and at least one mold inhibitor. Also provided is a method of inhibiting mold growth on edible baked products (e.g., bread) that involves applying the mold inhibiting emulsion of the present invention to the exterior surfaces of unbaked dough from which the edible baked product is prepared. The mold inhibiting emulsion may be applied to contact surfaces of a vessel in which dough is baked, and then to upper portions of the dough after it has been placed into the treated vessel. An apparatus for treating the exterior surfaces of unbaked dough with spray applied liquids, is further provided. The apparatus includes first and second spray stations each including a primary spray assembly and a secondary spray assembly activated if the primary spray assembly fails.

  • Patent number: 7658587
Abstract: A hydraulic tail trailer comprising a main deck having a main tail assembly pivotally connected to the rearward end thereof with the pivotal connection therebetween being located forwardly of the centerline of the rear axle of the trailer suspension system. The location of the hinge between the main deck and the main tail assembly, by being located forwardly of the centerline of the rear axle, provides a main tail having an increased length thereby providing a lower loading angle without increasing the overall length of the trailer. The forward end of the main deck is pivotally connected to the rearward end of an upper deck so that the main deck may be raised which further reduces the angle between the rearward end of the main deck and the forward end of the main tail for loading and unloading purposes.

  • Patent number: 4755890
Abstract: A channel filter employing time domain targeting techniques to eliminate inter symbol interference in the reading of information from magnetic media. A pulse detector outputs a signal characteristic of polarity reversals on the surface of magnetic storage media. This output signal is coupled to a tapped delay line network and a moderate order L-C network. The tapped delay line provides an output signal to the L-C network, which flattens out pre-cursive and post-cursive undershoots. As a result, a moderate order L-C network is sufficient to approximate the desired target response so that maximum information density can be achieved. The tapped delay line provides an output signal that consists of a superposition (sum) of the input signal delayed and weighted. This forms a transversal filter. As with any linear filter, reciprocity applies. Consequently, the output of the tapped delay line is taken from the input with AC coupling directly to ground.
