  • Patent number: 6443405
Abstract: A golf bag having a body and support stand pivotally attached to the body and a seat member extending from the body. When the bag is tilted on a supporting surface, the leg or legs of the stand pivot away from the bag body to form a support for the bag as it rests on the supporting surface. The seat protrudes from the side of the bag opposite the stand the seating surface substantially parallel to the supporting surface. The seating surface is supported by a substantially rigid member of sufficient strength to support a golfer.

  • Patent number: 6315117
Abstract: A golf bag having a body and support legs pivotally attached to the body and actuated by an actuator rod which is partially hidden inside the body. The actuator rod is actuated by an actuator assembly comprising a base member and an actuator plate. When the bag is tilted, the actuator plate cooperates with the actuator rod to cause the legs to pivot away from the bag body to form a support for the bag. The actuator mechanism and the lower portion of the actuator shaft are located inside the golf bag body. The actuator assembly also includes a cover or a shutter for covering the base member and the actuator plate so the coupling of the actuator rod and the actuator plate is hidden from view.

  • Patent number: 6311937
Abstract: A golf bag comprises a body having a front surface, a back surface, a lower region and a base member. The body defines a longitudinal axis; at least one leg pivotally connected to the back surface of the body pivoting between a retracted position where the leg is disposed substantially longitudinally along the back surface of the body and an extended position where lower end of the leg is spaced apart from the body. The golf bag has a pocket member attached to the front lower region of the body. The pocket member has a collapsible seating surface associated with the front surface of the body. The golf bag also has a support structure connected to the base member and disposed in the pocket member. The support structure includes at least one frame member supporting the seating surface, wherein ends of the frame member are extended from the base member of the body to form the seating surface when the body is tilted.
