Patent number: 12209006Abstract: Various embodiments include a filling apparatus that can be connected to a valve on a keg, such as a Sankey-D valve, and can be used to pour alcohol and other liquids into the keg, which may be pre-filled with a non-alcoholic drink mix. The filling apparatus has an upper structure which is coupled to a lower portion configured to mate with a keg valve. The filling apparatus may be designed to depress portions of the keg valve to allow for both filling and venting of the keg simultaneously. The filling apparatus may further be designed with features to prevent liquid escape during degassing of the keg. The filling apparatus may include a Sankey-D coupler or a coupler with a probe portion as the lower body portion.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2023Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: CRAFT STANDARD ENTERPRISES, INC.Inventors: William Ray, Don Ray, Benjamin Simon, Robert Cardoze, Nick Marcolini, Bora Gulari

Publication number: 20180072332Abstract: Disclosed is a railroad train or tank car for transporting oil and other combustible fluids with an outer fluid-filled shell designed to greatly reduce the potential for an explosion if a train car tank derails. The tank car has an outer shell that is surrounded by a flame-retardant fluid that eliminates sparks resulting from derailment that could cause the oil or other combustible fluid contained by the tank car to combust and burn. An additional feature of the invention is a train car coupler with springs on each side so the coupler can move freely. The movement allowed by the springs would prevent derailment that could occur when a train was going around a curve. This is especially beneficial when train cars are of different weights, such that a heavier car going around a curve that gets derailed could not derail a lighter or empty car that is connected.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2016Publication date: March 15, 2018Inventor: Don Ray Petty

Patent number: 5801721Abstract: A printing system includes a scanner, a graphics computer, and a printer. The scanner optically scans an image and reduces it to a series of pixels represented in gray scale. After the scanner finishes converting the image into pixels, the graphics computer converts the gray scale representations of each pixel into a pixel conveying uniform density color information. The graphics computer then outputs the uniform density pixels to a print control system of the printer. The print control system receives the uniform density pixels and controls a printhead to print a reproduction of the image on a substrate suspended within the printer. Alternatively, the print control system controls a pair of printheads positioned on opposite sides of the substrate suspended within the printer to print a reproduction of the image on one side of the substrate and a mirror of the image on the opposite side of the substrate such that the images are in registry.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 1994Date of Patent: September 1, 1998Assignee: Signtech U.S.A. Ltd.Inventors: James Gandy, Jubayer Ahmed, Don Ray Janysek

Patent number: 5751308Abstract: A substrate guide and tensioning apparatus utilized with a printing system ensures the substrate does not flex or curl during printing to eliminate color mismatch among printed pixels. The printing system includes a scanner, a graphics computer, and a printer. The print control system receives the uniform density pixels and controls a printhead to print a reproduction of the image on a substrate suspended within the printer.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1995Date of Patent: May 12, 1998Assignee: Signtech USA., Ltd.Inventors: James Gandy, Jubayer Ahmed, Don Ray Janysek
