  • Patent number: 10402914
Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for determining contact-related information items for presentation to a user, such that the user can refer to the information items to enhance the user's communication with the contact. Contact-related information items that have a high relevance level may be accessed and presented to the user. In a case in which no or limited high relevance level information items exist, contact-related information items associated with incrementally lower levels of relevance may be accessed and presented. Moreover, according to some example embodiments, relevance may be derived based on the relationship of the user with the particular contact and/or the frequency of communications with the contact.

  • Patent number: 9473893
Abstract: An approach is provided for an application engine (e.g., a gaming engine) based on real-time location-based data. In one embodiment, an application engine determines one or more location-based data sources associated with at least one device. The one or more location-based data sources are determined in at least substantially real-time while the at least one device is engaged in at least one travel activity. The application engine then determines one or more elements of an application engine based, at least in part, on the one or more location-based data sources. The application engine causes, at least in part, a presentation of the one or more elements at the least one device during the at least one travel activity. In one embodiment, the application engine also causes, at least in part, a transformation of the one or more map data elements based, at least in part, on the one or more location-based data sources.

  • Patent number: 8966368
Abstract: The intelligent console method and apparatus of the present invention includes a powerful, intuitive, yet highly flexible means for accessing a multi-media system having multiple multi-media data types. The present intelligent console provides an interactive display of linked multi-media events based on a user's personal taste. The intelligent console includes a graph/data display that can provide several graphical representations of the events that satisfy user queries. The user can access an event simply by selecting the time of interest on the timeline of the graph/data display. Because the system links together all of the multi-media data types associated with a selected event, the intelligent console synchronizes and displays the multiple media data when a user selects the event. Complex queries can be made using the present intelligent console. The user is alerted to the events satisfying the complex queries and if the user chooses, the corresponding and associated multi-media data is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20140245157
Abstract: An approach is provided for processing and presenting aggregated information to a user via an augmented reality user interface. A processing platform processes and/or facilitates a processing of location information or contextual information associated with at least one user to determine one or more parameters for causing an aggregation of information across a plurality of data sources. Further, the processing platform causes an initiation of the aggregation of the information based on the one or more parameters. Additionally, the processing platform causes a presentation of the aggregation of the information in an augmented reality user interface, wherein the aggregation of the information includes, at least in part, location-based content.
