  • Patent number: 9071626
Abstract: A security installation positions a peering ability with a peer installation by establishing a peering agreement to define the conditions constituting a situation for which peering applies, and identifies the resources and assets which will be shared, as well as the duration of the peering, typically until the resolution of the exigent situation or circumstances that prompted the peering. Peering selectively couples security installations for monitoring a particular upon determining that a situation responsive to mediation has occurred within an area monitored by the security installation for monitoring an area. The security installation initiates a peering invitation to a peer installation, in which the peer installation is configured to share resources with the security installation for mitigating the cause of the situation.

  • Patent number: 8568046
Abstract: There is disclosed a printer including a print head and a mounting assembly for a web roll having a core. The mounting assembly can center-justify the roll with respect to the print head. The roll can be loaded simply by pushing the roll slidably onto the mounting assembly and unloaded by pulling the roll or its core slidably off the mounting assembly using one hand. In some embodiments, there is no need separately to undo any latch or to free the roll or its core from any latch other than by pushing or pulling on the roll or the core. In another embodiment, one of the stops is pivoted either to trap the core between the one stop and another stop or to enable the core to be slid onto the support to a position between the stops or to be slid off the support.

  • Publication number: 20080122307
Abstract: An electric motor produces an increased output torque for a given amount of input electrical current by using two magnetic field parts adjacent a winding part. Preferably, the winding part is disposed between the field parts. In a first embodiment, the two field parts are radially spaced from one another with the winding part therebetween. One field part is mounted on a hollow post through which an output shaft extends and on which a bearing is mounted for rotatably supporting thereon the winding part. In a second embodiment, the field parts are axially spaced from one another with the winding part therebetween. Axially spaced mounting wheels are connected to the output shaft for supporting therebetween a plurality of windings. The third embodiment includes a plurality of output shafts and a rotor suspended by interaction between pinions on the shafts and rotor gears.
