Publication number: 20240171916Abstract: A wearable loudspeaker includes a magnetic-flux-carrying housing that houses an acoustic sealing structure that separates an interior of the housing into a back volume and a front volume acoustically coupled to a sound port. A first coil is retained in the front volume and comprises a first winding about a corresponding first magnetic core. A second coil is retained in the back volume and comprises a second winding about a corresponding second magnetic core. Opposing surfaces of the first and second magnetic cores have opposite magnetic polarities and produce a magnetic field in a gap between the first and second coils. A magnetic-flux-carrying armature is movably located in the gap and fastened to the acoustic sealing structure. Sound is emitted from the sound port when the armature moves the acoustic sealing structure in the gap.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2022Publication date: May 23, 2024Inventors: MOHAMMAD MOHAMMADI, CHARLES KING, YAHUI ZHANG, DONALD VERGHESE JACOB, CHRISTOPHER MONTI

Publication number: 20040160465Abstract: A method of forming a printed circuit board using an ink jet print head by printing a three dimensional groove using a curable, non-conductive deposition liquid and depositing a liquid that dries to form a conductive track. The walls on either side of the groove impede the liquid from spreading and consequently larger quantities of the conductive deposition liquid can be deposited without causing a short circuit. A multi layer printed circuit board can be produced by depositing further layers of curable non-conductive deposition liquid over the conductive track, a further conductive track in an upper layer being in contact with a conductive track in a lower layer along a slope formed from the non-conductive deposition liquid.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2003Publication date: August 19, 2004Inventors: Hugh Baker-Smith, Donald Kings, John Tatum

Patent number: 5664190Abstract: The invention provides a system and method which enable programs written in procedural languages to respond reactively to messages from event driven interfaces. An interface is provided between programs or window procedures written in procedural languages and the standard message queues of a standard event driven user interface, operating system and graphic engine. The interface pulls messages intended for the programs off of the queues and then forwards them to the appropriate program upon receipt of a call from the program.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1994Date of Patent: September 2, 1997Assignee: International Business Machines Corp.Inventors: Marc Leslie Cohen, Scott Michael Consolatti, Carol Ann Jones, Dennis Donald King

Patent number: 5608849Abstract: A method for displaying interactively a three dimensional spatial relationship between one or more real-time ultrasound image of tissue and one or more reference images of that tissue. A reference image is produced by obtaining reference image data through a probe and obtaining positional data corresponding to the reference image data by a spatial locater. Real-time images are produced by obtaining real-time image data through an ultrasound probe and obtaining positional data corresponding to the real-time image data through a spatial locater. The reference image data, the reference positional data, the real-time image data and the real-time image positional data are transmitted to a processing and storage means where independent data representing spatial relationships between the real-time image data and the reference image data are generated.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 1994Date of Patent: March 4, 1997Inventor: Donald King, Jr.
