  • Publication number: 20050022825
Abstract: A medical arm securing device for temporarily securing the arms of an immobile person in an accessible position. The medical arm securing device includes a main member, and a first slot and a second slot extending into the main member. The slots receive the wrists of an immobile patient and prevent the arms from falling to the sides. A securing slot extends into a bottom portion of the main member for attaching to a strap. A plurality of notches preferably extend into the front and rear ends of the main member for selectively receiving a band member.

  • Patent number: 5228231
Abstract: A fish bait container or the like including a bucket having a cavity for holding a quantity of water or the like and a quantity of fish bait, such as minnows, shrimp, or the like, dispersed in the water; a lid movable between a first position covering the mouth of the bucket and a second position positioned away from the mouth of the bucket; and an arm fixedly joined to the lid for movement with the lid and for substantially separating the fish bait from the water when the lid is moved from the first position to the second position. The bucket is preferably molded out of Styrofoam.RTM. or the like. The lid and arm are preferably molded out of plastic as a one-piece, integral unit which is pivotally attached to the bucket.

  • Patent number: 4712773
Abstract: A multiple panel unit for creating a play area for young children in which each panel has a rigid rectangular frame and is connected to an adjacent panel by a hinge structure at the top and bottom of the panels permitting the panels to be pivoted with respect to each other at the hinge. The top of a first of two adjacent panels and the corresponding end of the hinge structure are formed for releasably retaining the end of the hinge and the bottom of the second of the adjacent panels and the corresponding end of the bottom hinge structure are formed with a pin and a mating recess that are matable in a direction parallel to the hinge pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 4677791
Abstract: A mounting device is disclosed for a portable, expansion-type security gate for children or pets. The expansion gate has a variable width with frictional bumpers on each side that frictionally engage a door jamb or other doorway defining member. The mounting device consists of a socket defining mounting member for each frictional bumper that is secured to the door jamb and is configured to receive and retain the frictional bumper. One type of mounting member is configured to mount on flat surfaces such as door jambs and walls. Another mounting member is constructed to mount on a wrought iron railing. Both types rigidly support the security gate and prevent it from being accidentally dislodged.

  • Patent number: 4603328
Abstract: A ski tracking alarm comprises a self-contained unit for mounting on a ski between the toe and heel bindings so that it is located beneath the ski boot during skiing. The unit comprises an audible alarm device and a triggering device for actuating the alarm to produce an audible alarm signal on separation of the ski boot from the ski. The triggering device includes a spring-loaded actuator which is held in an inoperative position by pressure of the ski boot acting on the unit, but springs up into an operative position when the ski boot is separated from the ski.

  • Patent number: 4528230
Abstract: Thin malleable metal foil is packaged in tape rolls or single sheets and is used to repair worn metal parts, such as rotatable shafts, surfaces subject to wear from lateral motion, and rusted or corroded sheet metal. The tape may also be used as a strapping tape to hold broken machinery parts together until a replacement part is obtained. The tape is designed to be temporary in nature, thus to serve as a means for effecting an emergency repair until a more permanent solution can be obtained. The tape may be selectively tapered along its width when it is used to repair a worn portion of a rotatable shaft, since the tapering will permit the tape to conform to a concavely-shaped worn surface in an even manner. To facilitate the degree of tapering, the tape surface may be provided with angulated scribe lines so as to permit a user to cut the desired taper depending upon the concaveness of the worn surface to be repaired.

  • Patent number: 4201298
Abstract: A storage case for two different sizes of boxed video cassettes has a rectangular base and a complementary rectangular cover. Ribs formed on the interior of the side walls of the base define spaces for a plurality of one size of boxed video cassette between one pair of opposed side walls and spaces for a plurality of the other size between the other pair of opposed side walls. Ribs on the interior of the end wall of the base raise the lesser height cassette so that it extends the same distance above the base end wall as the cassette of greater height, whereby either cassette will fit closely under the end wall of the cover.
