  • Patent number: 7751391
Abstract: Local gateway support for multiple overlapping remote networks. The local gateway includes a pool of unique, internally routable system-wide addresses, an address bind table, a filter rules table, and a collection of security association databases. A plurality of overlapping connections are received at the local gateway from remote networks, each including an inbound packet having a source IP address. For each connection, the source IP address is bound with an address from the address pool in a bind table. Outbound packets are processed through the bind table to determine the destination IP address corresponding to a correct one of the plurality of overlapping connections.

  • Publication number: 20060061978
Abstract: The adapter plate for electrical boxes is designed to secure at least one receptacle within a multiple-gang nonmetallic electrical box. The plate provides for the reduction of an electrical box by one gang, for example, a two-gang electrical box to one gang or a three-gang box to two gangs. The adapter plate has a base portion and a receptacle-receiving enclosure. The base portion, having securing apertures defined therein, is adapted to allow the plate to be secured to the electrical box. The receptacle-receiving enclosure has bosses disposed on the top and bottom walls of the enclosure. The bosses have threaded bores defined therein that allow the receptacle to be attached to the adapter plate.

  • Patent number: 6717949
Abstract: An address management system and method. ADDRESS statements and HIDE rule statements are processed to generate a file of masquerade rules for associating subsets of internal addresses among a plurality of public addresses. Responsive to these masquerade rules, network address translation is performed for incoming and outgoing IP datagrams. IP Network Address Translation (NAT) and IP Filtering functions provide firewall-type capability to a gateway system, such as the IBM AS/400 system. A customer's system administrator specifies specific NAT and Filtering rules (via the AS/400 Operational Navigator GUI). A type of NAT, called masquerade NAT, defines a many-to-one mapping in such a way as to allow the ‘many’ to specify subsets of IP addresses. This allows traffic separation, which improves throughput to and from external networks (e.g. the Internet), and also improves flexibility in IP address management.
