  • Publication number: 20190168565
Abstract: Technology is provided for a pneumatic anti-roll system for use on a vehicle suspension. The pneumatic anti-roll system includes left and right side air springs connectable between a chassis of the vehicle and an axle of the vehicle suspension. Left and right side height control valves are mounted to the chassis and left and right side linkages connect between the left and right side height control valves and corresponding left and right end portions of the axle. Left and right side control air lines connect between the left and right side height control valves and corresponding left and right side air springs, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20190168558
Abstract: Technology is provided for a double wishbone independent trailer suspension. The suspension includes a slider frame configured for attachment to a semi-trailer. The slider frame includes a longitudinal central beam and upper and lower clevis brackets located on opposite sides of the central beam. A pair of upper wishbones are attached to the upper clevis brackets and at least one air spring is positioned between the slider frame and each upper wishbone. A pair of lower wishbones are attached to the lower clevis brackets and a pair of spindles are each pivotably attached to a corresponding upper wishbone and a corresponding lower wishbone.

  • Patent number: 5219441
Abstract: A motor vehicle wheel having an annular wheel rim and a wheel disc in which the flange of the wheel disc is formed with a frustoconical outer surface for engagement with and attachment to a frustoconical inner surface of the wheel rim enabling the disc to be attached to the wheel rim at an inclined, larger diameter section of the wheel rim than the drop center well or the inflation ledge of the rim. This increases the size of the internal envelope formed by the wheel assembly thus increasing clearance for vehicle components within the wheel envelope, such as the brake assembly. Alternatively, a larger brake assembly may be utilized.

  • Patent number: 5115891
Abstract: A composite brake drum particularly adapted for motor vehicle applications. The brake drum includes a reiforcement assembly enclosed within the cylindrical portion of the drum. The reinforcement assembly is preferably made from steel wire stock and includes a plurality of circular loops spaced axially within the brake drum cylindrical portion. Axially extending locator wires are mechanically fastened to the reinforcing loops and serve to locate the loops. End portions on the locator wire contact only one of the mold halves forming the mold cavity and enable the device to be essentially self-locating without crossing the parting line of the mold. By not crossing the parting line, the position of the loops is maintained within acceptable tolerance limits from the finished friction surface of the drum.
