  • Publication number: 20250148462
Abstract: An extensible policy-based service layer dynamic authorization framework can allow a service layer to determine whether or not to grant or deny a registrant access to a resource or service hosted by the service layer for which the registrant currently lacks the proper privileges to access. This method can also enable a service layer to dynamically update its statically configured authorization privileges (by leveraging its dynamic authorization results) such that future requests from the same registrant and to the same resource and service do not require dynamic authorization to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20250119313
Abstract: A method of operating a plurality of communications nodes in a 10BASE-T1S Ethernet network. The plurality of communications nodes are configured to implement a physical layer collision avoidance, PLCA, process. At least two of the communications nodes are candidate beacon generators. The method comprises: for each of the at least two candidate beacon generators, determining a time delay since a last received beacon, comparing the determined time delay with a threshold value associated with the candidate beacon generator, and if the time delay exceeds the threshold value then setting that candidate beacon generator as an in-use beacon generator; and the in-use beacon generator transmitting a beacon to define the start of a PLCA cycle, thereby triggering a transmit opportunity for each of the other communication nodes.

  • Publication number: 20240375173
Abstract: The invention relates to the reduction of core losses in soft magnetic applications utilizing amorphous foil as the core material. Amorphous foil is known to have lower losses when compared to crystalline silicon steel laminations. It is found that a reduction of 10-40% of losses can be achieved over the current state of the art amorphous material by mechanical scribing of the surface of the soft magnetic laminations comprising the wound core in power conditioning devices such as a transformer. The scribing process introduces control of the magnetic domains causing ease of magnetic flux reversal.
