  • Publication number: 20200340242
Abstract: An improved fire-blocking gasket profile for a fire-rated joint, such as a head-of-wall assembly. Fire-rated joints are aimed at inhibiting or preventing fire, heat, or smoke from leaving one portion of a building and entering another portion of a building. Fire-rated joints can also accommodate movement between adjacent building structures, such as between a ceiling and the top of a wall. The improved fire-blocking gasket profile includes a first layer formed of an intumescent material, a second layer formed of a foil lining and a third layer formed of the vinyl profile. The vinyl profile includes an air gap with the intumescent material positioned therein. A vertical portion of the vinyl profile is positioned between a header track and a wallboard in the fire-rated joint. A horizontal portion of the vinyl profile is positioned at least partially within a deflection gap and sealingly engages with the ceiling.

  • Publication number: 20200325679
Abstract: A fire-rated receiver channel includes at least one intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The receiver channel can nest with a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. In other arrangements, a track assembly includes two nested tracks, an inner track and outer track. The assembly is designed so that the outside width of the outer track is equal to or less than the outside width of the inner track to present a substantially flush external surface for attachment of exterior sheathing elements when the assembly is used in an external wall.

  • Publication number: 20200239239
Abstract: In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, systems and methods for sequencing portable containers of bulk material to provide continuous bulk material usage at an outlet are provided. The disclosed sequencing techniques may involve identifying a sequence for opening different portable containers of bulk material (or identifying the “next” portable container to open) and automatically actuating the discharge gates of the portable containers in the desired sequence to provide a continuous flow of bulk material to the outlet (e.g., blender unit). The identified sequence may be executed through a control system communicatively coupled to actuators used to open/close the discharge gates of the portable bulk material containers. A GUI may be communicatively coupled to the control system to allow an operator to select the desired sequence for execution by the control system and to display information regarding the portable bulk material containers.

  • Patent number: 10701868
Abstract: An apparatus for growing plants is includes a body section having an upper orifice, a lower orifice, a back section, and at least one door. The upper orifice allows for planting of a plant while the at least one door allows for removal of the plant for transplanting. The upper orifice is smaller in cross-sectional area than the lower orifice allowing for plants to grow in their natural pattern giving the roots more room to grow in more soil from which to absorb nutrients making for a happier, healthier plant which will not need to be transplanted as often.

  • Patent number: 10637567
Abstract: A measuring instrument for detecting a source of passive intermodulation (PIM) includes a first signal source, a second source and a receiver. The first and second signal sources are each connected with separate transmit antenna to transmit a first and second signal, respectively. The first transmit antenna and the second transmit antenna are arranged in a fixed relationship relative to each other such that the first signal and the second signal are combinable to generate a PIM signal at a PIM. The receiver is connected with a receive antenna and arranged in a fixed relationship relative to the first transmit antenna and the second transmit antenna to receive the PIM signal reradiated from the PIM source. The receiver is configured to receive the PIM signal and indicate detection of the PIM source in response to receiving the PIM signal.

  • Patent number: 10500151
Abstract: A silicone elastomer composition (“composition”) has customizable sensory characteristics. The composition includes a pituitous silicone fluid that includes a hydrosilylation reaction product and a carrier fluid. The hydrosilylation reaction product generally includes alkenyl or Si—H functionality. The hydrosilylation reaction product is the reaction product of a first linear organopolysiloxane including (R1R2R3SiO—1/2) and (R4R5Si)2/2) units, and a second linear organopolysiloxane including (R6R7R8SiO—1/2) and (R9R10SiO2/2) units. Each of R1-R10 is independently a hydrocarbon group so long as at least one of R1-R5 is an alkenyl group and at least one of R6-R10 is a hydrogen atom. The first linear organopolysiloxane has a DP of from 100 to 15,000. The second linear organopolysiloxane has a DP of from 4 to 1,000. The composition also includes a silicone elastomer different from the hydrosilylation reaction product. Personal care compositions can include the composition.
