  • Publication number: 20090004357
Abstract: Apparatus and methods of using the apparatus for manufacturing irregularly shaped and sized products, and in particular cheese irregularly shaped and sized crumbles from cheeses, such as semi-soft cheeses including types of cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey jack, Colby, pepper jack, provolone, Swiss, Mexican cheeses and any other combinations of two or more varieties. The apparatus preferably includes five knife assemblies that combine to reduce bulk cheese products into irregularly shaped and sized cheese crumbles in a high-speed commercial manufacturing process. In addition, the apparatus includes one or more augers having flights configured for working or reshaping peripheral edges of the cheese during the manufacturing process.

  • Publication number: 20020167497
Abstract: A proof annotation method including positioning a hard proof on a proofing surface at a first location. Analog proofing comments are applied to the hard proof. The analog proofing comments are recorded using at least one sensor. The analog proofing comments are converted to digital proofing comments. The digital proofing comment are superimposed over a digital version of the hard proof and displayed on a monitor. The digital proofing comments are electronically transferred from the first location to a second location. The digital proofing comments superimposed over a digital version of the hard proof can then be viewed at the second location.

  • Patent number: 6304277
Abstract: The present disclosure involves modifying digital image files, involving modifying a low resolution proxy and recording a script which is then applied to the original digital image file. The transfer of a low resolution proxy and/or modification script allows the use of inexpensive, standard data transmission components, allowing successful access to expert services previously only available to those with the costly data transmission components.

  • Patent number: 4298191
Abstract: Mobile apparatus for containing molten metal, known as a torpedo car, comprises an elongate vessel rotatably supported at its ends on a pair of bogie assemblies, flange members on the vessel extending around at least part of the opening and one or more lid assemblies arranged to fit over the opening and be removably secured to the flange members, the lid assembly or assemblies, when fitted, closing off less than the entire opening.

  • Patent number: 4117539
Abstract: The apparatus includes a scanning system for scanning a projected image of an axially symmetric component's profile in a plurality of lines of scan, each line of scan being transverse to the axis of symmetry of the components profile and having a predetermined spatial relationship with respect to a neighboring line of scan. The scanning system may include a linear or two dimensional array of image detectors and the system produces electrical signals representative of the extent of the image of the component's profile along each line of scan for processing by a computer which uses these signals to calculate at least one of the parameters of length, breadth and curvature of the axis of at least a portion of the component and determines whether the parameter lies within a predetermined range.
