  • Split-feed naphtha reforming process

    Abstract: A naphtha feedstock is reformed by splitting the feedstock into a first C.sub.6 or lower fraction and a C.sub.7 and higher fraction, and passing the C.sub.6 and lower fraction to a reactor and combining the effluent from the first reactor with the C.sub.7 and higher fraction and passing the mixture to a second reactor. The reformate produced has an octane rating at least equivalent to that produced by conventional processes, but has a lowered benzene content.
