  • Publication number: 20240143413
Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods for centrally managing distributed edge server resources may create a host folder, associate the host folder with an element manager, add one or more edge servers to the host folder, and manage the one or more edge servers with an edge server management system running in the applicable instance of the element manager. The host folder may be created from either a server manager UI or from an element manager UI. An edge server may be added to a host folder by invoking a UI of the element manager UI. Managing the one or more edge servers may include performing health monitoring of the edge servers as well as version checking and upgrading of the edge servers. An edge server agent may be deployed in the edge server to receive change events published by the edge server and redirect the change events to an element manager system.

  • Publication number: 20240125616
Abstract: A method of correcting a GPS vehicle trajectory of a vehicle on a roadway for a high-definition map is provided. The method comprises receiving first bitmap data from a first sensor of a first vehicle to create a plurality of first multi-layer bitmaps for the first vehicle using the first bitmap data and receiving second bitmap data from a plurality of second sensors of a plurality of second vehicles to create a plurality of second multi-layer bitmaps. The method further comprises creating first probability density bitmaps and an overall probability density bitmap with a probability density estimation, and matching an image template from each of the first probability density bitmaps with the overall probability density bitmap to define match results. The method further comprises combining the match results to define combined utility values and determining the maximal utility value with the combined utility values.

  • Patent number: 11942730
Abstract: Active cables and communication methods can provide data path redundancy with power sharing. In one illustrative cable implementation, the cable includes a first connector with contacts to supply power to circuitry in the first connector; a second connector with contacts to supply power to a component of the circuitry in the first connector via a first connection that prevents reverse current flow; and a third connector with contacts to supply power to the same component via a second connection that prevents reverse current flow. An illustrative method implementation includes: using contacts of a first connector to supply power to circuitry in the first connector; and using contacts in each of multiple redundant connectors to supply power to a component of said circuitry in the first connector via a corresponding diodic or switched connection that prevents reverse current flow.

  • Publication number: 20240085210
Abstract: A method of creating a high-definition (HD) map of a roadway includes receiving a multi-layer probability density bitmap. The multi-layer probability density bitmap represents a plurality of lane lines of the roadway sensed by a plurality of sensors of a plurality of vehicles. The multi-layer probability density bitmap includes a plurality of points. The method further includes recursively conducting a hill climbing search using the multi-layer probability density bitmap to create a plurality of lines. In addition, the method includes creating the HD map of the roadway using the plurality of lines determined by the hill climbing search.

  • Publication number: 20240068836
Abstract: A method includes receiving sensor data from a plurality of sensors of a plurality of vehicles. The sensor data includes vehicle GPS data and sensed lane line data of the roadway. The method further includes creating a plurality of multi-layer bitmaps for each of the plurality of vehicles using the sensor data, fusing the plurality of the multi-layer bitmaps of each of the plurality of vehicles to create a fused multi-layer bitmap, creating a plurality of multi-layer probability density bitmaps using the fused multi-layer bitmap, extracting lane line data from the plurality of multi-layer probability density bitmaps, and creating the high-definition (HD) map of the roadway using the multi-layer probability density bitmaps and the lane line data extracted from the plurality of multi-layer probability density bitmaps.

  • Publication number: 20140213917
Abstract: A biofeedback device and the light sensor used thereby are described herein that can be mounted on or integrated with eyewear such as swimming goggles. The biofeedback device may include a heart rate measurement apparatus comprising a reflected green light sensor, and first, second, and third green light emission elements. The biofeedback device may include a housing having a first portion and a second portion, which each of the first and second portions having a first side and a second side. At least a portion of the heart rate measurement apparatus may be disposed within the housing first portion and may be exposed through an opening in the second side of the housing first portion. The biofeedback device may also include an opening that allows the device to be removably engageable with at least a portion of the swimming goggles.

  • Patent number: 5926290
Abstract: The invention relates to a document-tray driven apparatus for a photo drive for reading information off a transparent sheet or a reflective sheet. The invention mainly comprises a paper feeding device, a driving device, a lower illumination device, an upper illumination device and a photoelectric converting device. The exposure of the original sheet depends on the motion of the paper feeding device. As the paper feeding device is moving, the scanning process takes place simultaneously. This design allows all other optical members to fix on the housing. Thus, it makes the light path easier to control and the quality of the image scanned will be improved thereby. Moreover, since the driving device is installed at a single side of the housing, the space inside the housing can be utilized more efficiently.
