Patent number: 11981779Abstract: A process and a system for depolymerizing plastic, such as waste polyester, into marketable monomers. A heterogeneous mixture of plastic particles, a solvent, and a catalyst are pumped continuously through a heating zone at a flow rate just high enough to maintain a particle speed great enough to keep the plastic particles in suspension. The temperature of the heterogeneous mixture is raised in the heating zone and maintained in a hold zone to complete depolymerization of the mixture into a homogeneous solution containing a liquefied plastic monomer. The homogeneous solution is cooled to solidify and precipitate the monomer. The precipitated monomer is separated from the solvent to be recycled. The solvent is recirculated to be reused as a constituent of the heterogeneous mixture.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2022Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: Premirr Plastics Inc.Inventors: Matthew Craig Parrott, James Christopher Luft, Donald B. Shuping, Michael Dean Mattiace

The working portion (22) includes a lower surface (32) and an upper surface (34). The upper surface (34) defines a working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (X-Y-Z). The base portion (20) includes a lower surface (24) and an upper surface (26). The lower surface (32) of the working portion (22) is disposed adjacent to the upper surface (26) of the base portion (20). The lower surface (24) defines a non-working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (XS-YS-ZS). The upper surface (34) of the working portion (22) extends relative to the lower surface (24) of the base portion (20) at an angle (?22) for angularly-offsetting the working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (X-Y-Z) from the non-working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (XS-YS-ZS). Publication number: 20230099492Abstract: A computer system may receive a request that includes a requested weight quantity of an item and identifies the item. The computer system may use this information to lookup correlating information for the item. The correlating information may correlate item weight with item quantity. The computer system may use the correlating information and the weight quantity to determine a corresponding numerical quantity of the item. A visual indicator that represents the numerical quantity of the item may be presented in a user interface to provide context for how the requested weight quantity translates to the numerical quantity.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2021Publication date: March 30, 2023Inventors: Donald Christopher Woods, Wesley Lauka

Patent number: 11442603Abstract: A networked interactive expert system is disclosed for selectively providing relevant expertise when a user requires such assistance. System provides a set of networked facilities for determining an expertise needed by a customer based on a location. Such location can be either physical or logical. A physical “location” corresponds, for example, to a department within a retail outlet. Examples of logical “locations” are ones corresponding to a web-page, a product identification code of interest, a customer identification code, and/or explicit knowledge category selected by the customer. An expert studio, from a list of expert studios providing expertise corresponding to the identified location associated with the customer's request, is matched up with the request. Thereafter, a primary connection, supporting an interactive videoconference session, is established between a first networked node associated with the customer and a second networked node associated with the designated expert studio.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2020Date of Patent: September 13, 2022Assignee: Clairvista LLCInventors: Christopher Sang, Donald Christopher Woods

Publication number: 20210301946Abstract: A method for controlling buckling in subsea pipelines involves identifying spaced-apart sections of a subsea pipeline suitable for controlled lateral buckling. Sets of buoyancy modules are installed at each spaced-apart section and are selected to support the spaced-apart sections of the subsea pipeline in a neutrally buoyant condition at the seafloor when the subsea pipeline is in service. Any buckling caused by thermal expansion of the subsea pipeline is distributed to two or more of the spaced-apart sections, causing the two or more spaced-apart sections to deflect laterally along the seafloor outwardly from an initial as-laid position.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 23, 2021Publication date: September 30, 2021Inventors: Michael Hosokawa DUPRE, Kevin OUYANG, Donald Christopher NELSON
