  • Publication number: 20230362332
Abstract: A videoconference system is described that generates a video for a room including multiple videoconference participants and outputs the video as part of the videoconference. The videoconference system is configured to generate the video as including a detailed view of one of the multiple videoconference participants located in the room. To do so, the videoconference system detects user devices located in the room capable of capturing video and determines a position of each user device. The videoconference system then detects a user speaking in the room and determines a position of the active speaker. At least one of the user devices is identified as including a camera oriented for capturing the active speaker. Video content captured by one or more user devices is then processed by the videoconference system to generate a detailed view of the active speaker.

  • Patent number: 9992227
Abstract: A remote, secure maintenance and support system, method, network entity and computer program product are provided. The system can include site terminal(s) and/or a site server (collectively “site device(s)”), a data center in communication with the site device(s) over a first secure tunnel, and at least one client terminal in communication with the data center over a second secure tunnel. The site device(s) can be configured to periodically transmit to the data center one or more error messages over the first secure tunnel. The data center can, in turn, be configured to make the error messages accessible to at least one authorized technician operating one of the client terminals. The client terminal can be configured to retrieve at least one of the error messages over the second secure tunnel and to take an action associated with resolving the error message.

  • Publication number: 20170316456
Abstract: A shared service supports interfaces for interacting with at least two different business systems and providing customer-relationship management processing that is shared between the two different business systems. The shared service also provides interfaces for interacting with customer operated devices for delivering recommendations and promotions to specific customers based on anticipated patterns of the specific customers identified in a shared history between the two business systems.

  • Publication number: 20060027429
Abstract: A composite brake drum includes an outer component having an outer surface and an inner surface defining an internal cavity. The composite brake drum also includes an inner liner that is mounted within the internal cavity and is attached to the inner surface. The inner liner is made from a metal matrix composite such as silicon carbide aluminum (SiCAl), for example. The outer component is formed from cast iron or stamped steel. The metal matrix composite provides a braking surface that is less corrosive than a braking surface that would be provided by ferrous materials.

  • Publication number: 20050279682
Abstract: A debris bag for a swimming pool cleaning device includes a body having a debris collection cavity, an upper end and a lower end. The lower end engages the pool cleaner to receive debris from the pool ejected by the cleaner into the bag. The debris bag also includes a float coupled to the body. The float is positioned outside of and adjacent to the debris collection region of the bag so as to be separate from the lower end.

  • Publication number: 20050182968
Abstract: An intelligent firewall that prevents unauthorized access to a system has been developed. The fire wall does not use a communication address. It receives a data packet and analyzes it to determine its final disposition. Finally, the firewall handles the data packet according to its final disposition.

  • Publication number: 20050058421
Abstract: A high density fiber optic distribution frame includes a frame assembly, one or more left-hand connector module housings mounted on the frame assembly, one or more right-hand connector module housings mounted on the frame assembly and an Interbay Storage Unit (IBU) positioned on the frame assembly medially between the left-hand connector module housings and the right-hand connector module housings. Each connector module housing includes one or more connector modules having one or more adapters for interconnecting optical fibers between connector modules on the distribution frame or on an adjacent distribution frame in a communications network. The distribution frame is compatible with existing fiber optic connector housings, maintains the minimum bend radius of the optical fibers transitioned on the frame between connector modules, and reduces the length of a single length jumper employed on the frame.

  • Publication number: 20050053993
Abstract: The subject invention relates to uses of a receptor referred to as GRP78 and to other endothelial cell receptors which bind to the kringle 5 region of mammalian plasminogen. More specifically, identification of the functional properties of this receptor and other such receptors allows for the development and screening of agents which, for example, mimic K5 (i.e, mimetics) and therefore inhibit angiogenesis.
