Abstract: A water purification apparatus, comprising a water pump, wherein the water pump inlet port receives water from an external source, a nonreturn valve in fluid communication with the water pump outlet port, and an ionizer chamber in fluid communication with the nonreturn valve output end, wherein the ionizer chamber doses a bacteriacide into water contained in the ionizer chamber. The apparatus also includes a filter, wherein the input end of the filter is in fluid communication with the output end of the ionizer chamber.

Abstract: A water purification apparatus an embodiment of which comprises a water pump with an inlet port for receiving water from an external source; a nonreturn valve, the inlet port of which is in fluid communication with the water pump outlet port; an ionizer chamber, the ionizer chamber inlet port being in fluid communication with the nonreturn valve output port; and a filter, wherein the filter input end is in fluid communication with the output end of the ionizer chamber. An embodiment of the method of using the water purification apparatus comprises rotating a handle associated with the water pump from a stowage position to an operating position; operating the water pump to cause water to enter the apparatus; monitoring the impedance of the water within the apparatus; dosing a bacteriacide into the water within the apparatus based on the monitored impedance; filtering the dosed water; and, outputting the filtered water.

Abstract: A tone generator of the type in which a housing defines a pair of communicating chambers one of which is closed except for an area of communication with the other chamber. A thin flat diaphragm of circular configuration is mounted in an operative position over the area of communication between the chambers in engagement with a flat annular surface defining the same. An annular diaphragm retaining member is mounted in an operative position in superposed relation to the diaphragm in fixedly secured relation within the housing. An improved mounting for the diaphragm is provided which includes a plurality of annularly spaced transversely extending diaphragm engaging lugs formed on the retaining member. The lugs extend in engagement with the diaphragm so that when the retaining member is in its operative position the engagement of the lugs with the diaphragm serves to retain the diaphragm in its operative position.
